Samsung Loses in this category. Many people still prefers the google assistant. LG G6 carries the google assistant in its full glory much like the PIXEL phones do. so LGG6 > SGS8

AnonD-83516, 15 Mar 2017Naa don't care about all this A. I stuff. What I do care ... moreUsually the screen lock is disabled when in a car cradle nowadays.. Also the placement of the sensor is probably not to conflict with battery.. Not sure.. But most probably

AnonD-621510, 15 Mar 2017You could be correct. But dont forget though, Google Assist... moreNo assistant is on 6.0 and above. My mom has a Galaxy J7 2015 that is on Marshmallow that will probably never get Nougat for being so old and a mid-range and she has Google Assistant. And no, she didn't side load it, she's not very tech savvy.

What I do care about is that they move the fingerprint sensor to the back and thats why I will not buy the S8. It's useless in the car cradle or when wireless charging and I don't like to pick the device every time I need to open it

AnonD-642242, 15 Mar 2017Awesome, another duplicate app. And before the Disciple... moreYou could be correct. But dont forget though, Google Assistant only comes to android phone running on Nougat 7.0 and above. Google assistant will never see the light of day on older Samsung devices. Some of their midranger are released on Marshmallow. Their older flagship model will never see Nougat. So, this is where Bixby comes in. Dont forget their Tizen phone. Their smartwatches also runs on Tizen. Bixby will be on their wearables as well. Bixby not neccessarily build for their android phone for the sake of rivaling Google Assistant.

AnonD-642242, 15 Mar 2017Awesome, another duplicate app. And before the Disciple... morecould it be a sign Samsung want to move away from android software perhaps? also as an android fan, at least it means google doesn't have to worry about updates for google assistant & Samsung devices with their own apps, less support needed I guess, I dunno though, you make an incredibly good point

There is virtually nothing left for Samsung to reveal when the s8.a is released, the only thing we know little about is the camera.

AnonD-642242, 15 Mar 2017Awesome, another duplicate app. And before the Disciple... moreSamsung isn't trying to compete with Google, in fact it's trying to ward off Chinese competitors in mid rangers, just like Samsung Pay found in Samsung mid rangers, it will appear in those after it's released in flagships first

Awesome, another duplicate app.
And before the Disciples of Samsung come at me, let me clarify, Google has Google Assistant which they are working on everyday to make sure it covers the entire User Experience, Samsung releasing another Voice Assistant is just adding more clutter, they already have their own store, as well as other duplicate apps.
I'm well aware that this is suppose to work within the system of Samsung, BUT, Samsung still runs Android (Google's OS) and Google is optimizing it's virtual assistant as well, I don't get the need for this, I really don't.
Google has Google Assistant
Apple has Siri
Microsoft has Cortana
Why is it so difficult for Samsung (as well as other OEMs who run Android that tries to create their own AI) to embrace a singular Voice Assistant that is Google Assistant??
