Haha, $1700 for the HTC Athena??? How about the Sony Vaio UX90S? Similar price and much MUCH better in every discipline.

Great work HTC. they finally seem to realise that pocket pc phones need to be powered by better processors. HSDPA and GPS in most handsets is also welcome. My only question is whether any of these handsets be powered by windows crossbow which some sites claim is the next successor to windows mobile 5?

PDA's have touchscreen and and smartphones don't. Yes i consider it strange too - a smartphone without joystick , but these pictures aren't even official...

I dont thnk windows smart phones have touch screen, hence one would need a direction keys. If they do thn i dont get the whole logic of a smart phone vs pda

                        To Bau ...
you dont need a joy stick because they have a thing called a stylus that comes along with them ... you only use the keypad to type a mail, msg or document ...
you dont need a joy stick .. you have something much better and much more easier to use ...

Wow! This looks like a extreamly cool device!

I wonder why the dont ship to South Africa? We got most of the other brands!?

I wonder what it would cost to import one of these for myself? And will it support our networks???

this is a UMPC right? why do they implement windows mobile edition instead of Windows XP or Vista...? it won't have extended capabilities as of Notebooks and other UMPCs out there. but it'll be surely cheaper than the UMPCs available right now.

BTW. HTC is doing it's Job extremely great already if ever they will release it soon.
