I like WP7 by looks but we all know as good that OS looks, it sucks that big for productive uses. So I am sure that will not make much difference at this stage. Yes price might be an issue but again, we all know preorders are always more than market price.

dont fool yourself with mixing full focus camera (which is E7) and fixed focus camera which is most android and apple devices

too little too late. and with that price. but nokia have no choice but to release this phone or they will simply lose more money if they dont. but they should have done this a year ago before they announce the windows merger. now more people will not buy this and rather wait for their windows phone which could be a lot cheaper.

GSMArena said it all. The E7 is slow and old for the present of smartphones. Symbian became ridiculous in comparison to android and WP7! Gsmarena, said it, not me! Additionally, the camera, with its fixed focus, is totally outdated and old fashion on interface! The phone is ridicously expensive. Gsmarena said it, not me. And nokia may think that their customers are stpid enough as to buy an expensive phone with a dying platform. Again, gsmarena said in its review, not me!

Well, I wonder the fate of Nokia, There are better Androids and Blackberries than that Symbian phone in the US. As for here in Uganda; I had Nokia say that its going to be using S40 for phones in developing Markets; but how can they compete with an IDOES Android 2.2 which is extreamly cheap even for an average elite Ugandan.

Sorry Nokia. I remember the days when Nokia was king, top of the industry in sales and high-end phones. The high-end devices where light years ahead of the competition, like the N-Series and even the 6-7 thousand series. Now, Nokia; who stubbornly kept holding onto the dated Symbian (which has been steadily declining in use and available applications, not to mention functionality and a horrific Atari like OS that seems more fit for an early 2000 model smartphone) is at a juncture. The N, E, and high number series phones from Nokia are dated before they are even announced for development. The RF [reception] (a strong Nokia selling point) has declined drastically and the phones just plain suck! Only a few saving graces are camera quality and design, despite build quality also sliding down hill.

Nokia got too cocky. Their 40% market share (closes competitor in the 12-16 points), Symbian's former domination of the smartphone OS (despite iOS, BB OS, WinMo, and Android) led them to believe they were untouchable. The truth is the inevitable happened, the lost LARGE market share due to their follies.

I am happy Nokia and MSFT have made a deal, hopefully MSFT will address some of the glaring oversight in WM7 in order to make it a decent smartphone OS.

Good luck to Nokia, I have a warm place in my heart for them seeing as they were one of the original co-founders of GSM.
