China is the most important. Focus on China alone because they really are extreme specs junkies. More so than you and the rest of the world. You have no idea how competitive China is. Over 10 smartphone brand are from china with similar specs. Samsung dont have the financial budget to distribute the same thing to every country. They rather do some major cost cutting. Its cheaper this way. Profitable? No, this is also a loss for them due to unable to fit the global demand. Their parent company not in a good shape anyway. Not a good time to show off too much. Look at the big picture. Dont just look at it from your selfish perspective as a consumer that assume all the company that dont give what you want is evil.

China is a massive market so what they lose per unit they more than make up in pure numbers. Also factor in that China is a far more competitive market so I'm afraid it makes a lot of sense. Basically the rest of the world gets what Samsung can get away with in the name of profit.

The ideal for the smooth running system would be 6 gigas. Then comes those tests on the internet and the one of losing in speed. Not that it is important for me, but it does not look good for the most anticipated system.

I think a mistake gives Samsung if this is true. Samsung is the largest memory manufacturer in the world. Moreover in several tests in the internet the S7 loses in speed for the one plus 3T that counts on 6 giga

This happens many times. Samsung marketing their phones with high end snapdragon chip, Sony sensor and high amount of ram. What we get is Exynos, samsung sensor and lower amount of ram all with higher price. Time to look to other brands.

Expect Samsung fanboys to come here and tell us (troll?) that 4GB is "enough" and nobody would ever need more, and it is actually a blessing that Samsung discriminates and probably sells the worldwide edition for more despite having less.
Then I would point to them the phonebuff and C4etech speed tests, showing 6GB phones being quite faster in everyday performance due to ram caching and eventually (of course) I expect to get null answer, as there is really no answer.
In short this is shameful. I understand that Samsung wants to grow in China and given the competition there they have to offer more. But why not offer more to the west as well? Samsung used to top the hardware competition or not once. Anybody remember Note 3? 1080p , best camera, removable storage/battery, best SoC and RAM of the time (SD80 + 3GB). Why is it OK for Samsung to actually charge more for less these days?
Especially given that they show that their phones can be as stacked as they used to bE?

I think that unfortunately the rumor is true, but i hope that i'm/ it will be wrong. Because this is absolutely not fair for the international fans/customers, etc. The excuse of Samsung is that the Chinese customers are a sort of specs junkies, but who said that we internal fans/customers are not specs junkies like the Chinese? ?? The fact is just for some extra profit from us, the international customers, and because China is the most populated country and because the Chinese companies, that they are making a great success in China and in all around the world, like Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus, ZTE, and so on. So the bottom line is that it is just a deception/profitable excuse from Samsung against us, USA & EU customers, to make some more profit from us. But obviously i hope that this time everything (the rumors ) will be wrong/ the opposite & so that we too, will have the same variant as China, 6GB or 4, hopefully it will be the/a 6GB RAM, more better! Haha.

I don't think Samsung will do such thing, everyone wants a 6gb phone in 2017, having different processors is ok but extra 2GB ram to just Chinese customers? Doesn't make sense.

Pay top dollar for a phone knowing that it will have a better version in another country. Not shaping up to be an attractive proposition, Samsung.

Chinese government demands hundreds of backdoors and apps for data mining, citizen monitoring and censoring, all those stuff eats an extra RAM that would make 4GB of the international/US model lag, that's why only the chinese model will have an extra 2GB of RAM.
