The poll vs the comments just go to show how how the world perceives the mobile industry conspired to a small group of people who are passionate about cell phones.
77% find the phone hot, but hardly anyone in the comments thinks that way.
Just goes to show not everyone cares if the phone has an SD 821 or an 835. As long as the overall package is good people will buy it. That's why the iPhone is the most successful than any other smart phone in the market. Not everyone one cares about internals (however the iPhone 7 has the most powerful processor in the market right now), but about the overall package

Definitely "Not" as it is still using the old LCD screen.
Even iPhone8 this year using AMOLED screen, and hey it's from Samsung.

Nearly end of life chipset and camera sensor make it not worth the high price for me.
I'm not a fan of the tall display either. I personally think it's a cheap trick that does not help ergonomics. Xiaomi going with 17:9 was a good compromise and actually better than many 16:9 phones with buttons below the screen, but 18:9 and above is pushing it too far for me.

I can see why people voted both. Its a pretty phone and the concept of "Value offering" seems appealing, except they priced it like insane. Also, the camera sensor would be fine if it was just old, but it is also tiny..

The reason why LG G6 is worse than G5 in my opinion:
- non-removable battery IMO
- worse, downgraded camera IMO
It has lower resolution (13 MP) and smaller sensor, while the rest of the specs are the same (f/1.8, same pixel size, etc) IMO.
- no IR blaster IMO
- Gorilla Glass 3 screen glass, which is IMO a downgrade from Gorilla Glass 4 in G5. IMO
The only advantage of G6 is that it has heat pipes that cool the CPU/GPU and reduce the throttling only by 10% which is marginal effect anyway IMO.
So in other words, LG G6 is the ultimate test of people. It tests how primitive people are. G6 has fashion design instead of usefulness and features. G5 has usefulness and features instead of fashion design. If G6 will be more popular than G5, it will prove that people are primitive and that I am a big egotistical individual that needs to get off of my high horse.

The design is hot and sexy.
The specs are mediocre (for its price, and for a note 4 user).
The price is NOT HOT, and does not justify the upgrade

I for one was disappointed, because i live in Europe and in Europe the G6 will cost the equivalent of +850$ and for this money i accept no compromise.
I am a bezel freak, this is why i got the S7 edge and i never had enough battery juice since the G2. I was disappointed not to see a PoLed screen, as i loved it in Flex 2, but its ok, its not ok that the aperture wasnt improved and so didnt its low light performances, the day lay pics were good enough since G4. And how about the battery, they couldnt wait a couple of months for 835 and decided to seal the battery for waterproofness, ok but why such a mediocre battery performance, 25% less than the S7edge? I live in Europe we wont get improved sound to save money from DAC, our wireless fast charger will collect dust, unlike the Americans and no, we wont get 64gb of internal storage either, so why exactly are we asked to pay as much? Yes G6 is pretty, but thats not enough!

I highly doubt you'd still say the G6 is better because the XZ is obviously the better camera phone and that's not an opinion, it's a fact based on how test results appeared
