Graphene displays are the future in my opinion. They can do really cool things - bendability is being one of them. But it's hard to achieve that technology.

high grade color accuracy? my eyes are sensitive to oversaturated colors on early galaxy S series and note 4. i prefer iphone IPS LCD.

a lot of people hate edge design.

You forgot to mention e-ink ("reflective LCD") used by Garmin. It displays 64 colors or smth like that. It's great in direct sunlight, awful when used with backlighting

Not really about the screen but the implementation of the keypad was brilliant.
I hope LG can bring something similar again but more attuned with today's
                smartphone design and usability.

AnonD-248589, 20 Mar 2017I'm sorry :(hahaha lol I know the reviews are bad but I never really encountered any problems with my unit. I've been using it for almost 2yrs now no problems at all. It stands out not just because it's Flamenco red but it's Curved with an OLED screen. It doesn't stand out as much as my S7 but still it's weird to see a phone that looks like it's been sat on or something haha :)

"The LG V20 screen had its upper left corner cut off to make room for the dual camera."
Nope. V10's screen was cut off for dual front cameras since V20 has only 1.

I was in year 10 in 2010 when one of my friends brought his galaxy s to school it was amazing compared to iPhones of the time, I remember distinctly him showing me the camera and how smooth it was as he turned, couldn't even see it stuttering, amazing how far phones have come since then even if it does just seem like everyone releases the same boring designs

Youre modifying history. When Samsung came out with AMOLED on the S and Wave people's jaws were dropped. There were all kinds of comparisons to "retina" of that time and pictures were circulating all over the web "this is Samsung's new display tech compared to iPhones". Pictures showed viewing angles, contrast, black levels and that was something like seeing a brand new tech compared to ancient tech. I still remember those days very clearly. Colors were oversaturated but that only made the early OLEDs look even more mindblowing next to an iPhone for an average customer.

There was a lot of innovation a few years ago! These phones were awesome and full of features. I miss slide out keyboards. I still have my wife's LG Windows phone with slide out keyboard that lights up, awesome. I still have my Galaxy S1, which has a cover for the USB port that slides in and out, easy and smart!

It's normal that there isn't much innovation anymore as almost everything has been done, so, what I believe they should do is go back to the past, upgrade those old phones with new specs. I don't want these silly gigantic phones we're getting these days.
