Were the S8 priced accordingly then yes, would be a hands-down 'contest' but the S8 will be priced well above the competition says the iPhone.

6GB instead of 4GB of ram
17:9 aspect ratio (allowing for industry standard 2k and/or 1080p when soft buttons are on), ie no awkward aspect ratio.
50% more battery (in mah) too
In short S8 would be a joke. Apart from the SoC last year's hardware too w impractical aspect ratio.

This company is so massive that it has no real competitors when it comes to resources and innovation. They are years ahead in every sphere they deal in. And Galaxy S8 will be a manifestation of that legacy.

The edge makes it a unique, a signature design and the general selling point. Every smartphone including iPhone uses the same typical flat design, at least these edgy phones and S8 alone has a different flavor when it come to overall design factor.

While they did boring designs... morefirst of all there is ''edge'' variant of S6 and S7 and one without that ''edge'' , and apart form that ''edge'' everything else looks the same like on S3 , S4, S5 ... also look at the A and J series as well (all 2015 , 2016 and 2017 models ) ...
It's not true what he said that Samsung is not using '' very same shell design '' LMFAO that is exactly the case ! Samsung is using the very same design for years . and I don't say that is bad in any way , in fact I approve it , bc I was never for big design changes but only for slight improvements , and Samsung done that over the years , they have taken care of of their design flaws ...best example is absence of that fugly protruding camera in latest phones ... and they finally even removed frustrating useless physical home button ... looks great now ! except for the aspect ratio which sucks .

Ugly LG g6 is a way better, the curved screen is very hard to use trust me. I think this should run tizen OS instead of android
