Even the areas where it's grey, the roads are still invisible, the contrast is too low. Why do you defend the design flaw of Googe Maps and it's developers' idiotism?

I just realized you could do that for ages with Alert Motorola and Samsung Emergency mode. But now you won't make your friends and family think you're being killed in the downtown.

You can do this with their Google+ location sharing function too. You can choose to share it with a group of family or friends (Circles)

Google is slowly becoming a monster. So glad I moved away from all their services. They're under-developed anyway.

Have been suing Find Friends in iPhone for years and I am sure Android OEMs have their version of the same app on their custom skin.

AnonD-558092, 22 Mar 2017And in 2020, when Samsung will rollback to hardware buttons... moreGoogle Latitude in Google Maps was discontinued around 2013, I think. It's been a long waiting time for it's replacement (That's why I said "long-awaited (return)").
Also "well-done Google", for implementing it back and not altogether forgetting the feature (as I had initially feared).

After Google Latitude was discontinued, I thought they would implement a quick new replacement but it seemed like they forgot about it. That's why I said well-done (better late than never)!

Taking out something that worked well and putting it back as a new feature is not well done. That's so lazy in fact.
