It is a great App, 23 Mar 2017Google Photos is fantastic. Guess I must be technological... moreIf you'd knew how many Google employees have seen your photos and how many times they were scanned by software and got tags added automatically to them, you wouldn't be saying it is a great app. Once you share something with a Google service, the rights on that 'something' are 50% Google's and 50% yours. Except that if you delete that 'something', Google still keeps a copy of it.

So it's like you gladly let Google make a copy of your pictures, documents, files, etc. and let them use these as they please. That's why it is said that ignorance is bliss. And that's why non-techy people just use these services thinking it's just nice and convenient.

Every year Android and iOS keep turning into the same OS by getting closer and closer. They started at different end, but they are slowly merging in the middle. iOS started completely as a lockdown os that is slowly opening up and Android started as a wild wild west but slowly adopting some of the iOS lockdown (although not completely) restriction nature to better handle things.

Who even uses Google photos or Drive or Hangouts or their email except for technologically impaired people?

I tried GPhotos on many phones and it's always slow to pinch zoom. I'm not even sure why it's so terrible as a photo app. Perhaps it works better on Google phones. It also has less features on non-Google phones. Really, a bad app.

I like Piktures a lot (really nice UI), and the super feature rich F-Stop Gallery.
