Sony Ericsson XPERIA mini2 will be identical to the XPERIA mini pro2, but for the keyboard.
-What does this mean? Is it without keyboard? Is it Mini2 or Mini Pro2?

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2011Can xda give you guarantee that your froyo xperia would be ... moreXDA these guys are doing amazing job, i have Xperia X10 which originally runs 1.6 and now officially runs 2.1.2 and custom ROM are available also i have HTC Hero originally runs 1.5 now it runs 2.2 custom ROM and believe me the custom ROM from the XDA run smoother than the official ROM

When you bought the pho... moreI think that you are right, in a way or another, but let us see it this way, the companies releases smartphones mostly in a hurry just becsuse there are a market down there and there is competition 2 , so most of the times their os r full off bugs and lags, then after they did their selling, they will start doing the os treatment .
Anyway if i can say this, a company that looks after its customers is much much better than others that sell them its trash and leaves them after without any help or bugs fix or something like that....

When you bought the phone you knew what he had included and what it was capable of. Updates are like a treat from manufacturer: he gives you one if he wants. not a right you have.
Besides SE has updates, not like LG or Nokia who left costumers high and dry waiting for nothing and even an x10 qith 1.6 was great to use so... what's the point?
And really, what is so great about 2.2 to make you not want a 2.1? any revolution I don't know of?
Before smartphones we never had updates to firmware and everything was just perfect and we were all happy.
Stop complaining about this nonsense.

Exactly my thoughts! The mini range is unique and different from all the big brick smartphones, so I truly hope s/e keeps them alive.
Like you said, they fill a gap in the smartphone range. Not all people want 4-7 inch brick screens to brag about, some of us simply wants a good sized smartphone that can do most of the things that the huger devices does.

But if se is reluctant to remove mediascape and timescape from x10 family and x8, no 2.2 for owners. Xda root your phone or something, anyway they can help all the whining se owners get their 2.2 and even 2.3. Hooray!
