15 March, 2011
We hope this is an early April Fool's joke - the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play will apparently be launching in Spain on 1 April, for the hefty 649 euro SIM-free price. It will come with 6 games preloaded but the price...

In the UK it launches midnight 31st March, so it will be on sale 1st April.
Apparently stock will be in stores before the 1st and everyone is being asked to hold it back till after the launch night.

Games loaded, OK. But 650euro... I dunno... At that price I might hold and see what the final reviews state about the phone. Was kinda hoping for a break-through price. But then, there is no other manufacturer with the PSP brand name and links to the gaming industry (ie, Sony). So maybe it'll be worth the premium.
