No, there's not "suspicion" that the exynos will be faster.
The more recent GeekBench results for the msm8998 are pretty consistently in the 2050/6400 range.
However, please maintain the narrative you wish.

Isnt it amazing. People bashed android and samsung. And then the next thing they said is google their best friend. Lol. Pick your side. Dont go back and forth! A samsung hater that love google. Dont they realized google made android? I wonder how these people able to trust google but not samsung. All of those specs in s8 is not confirmed or official even if it is documented and certified. Anything can change on reveal day. Just saying.

Oh and i agree that the phone industry has to move to safer and better batteries than Li-on ones, especially after what happened with the Note 7

The true USB 3.1 data transfer speed can only be found yet on the XZ Premium, and I don't see the S8 series having the same one

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2017Comparing unofficial info is stupid.FYI, this is all listed in the S8 & S8+ FCC documentation which was made public a month ago. Stop your back and fourth bickering about what MAY have which spec and use that wonderful tool . . GOOGLE.
I don't know the specs, and I don't care, but seriously y'all . . GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND. (S8 & S8+ FCC Docs). That'll give you your USB-C spec, Bluetooth, UFS spec (in relation to radiation interference output), and WiFi specs.

Raphi7, 27 Mar 2017I am sure Samsung has other things going for it, like Bixby... moreBut there is a significant drop in battery life of smart phones who started getting the Google assistant upgrade and if we are to go by anything there is only a limit till where innovation can be brought into Li-ion technology and i think Samsung hit it so unless they don't employ Li-Po with better and safer discharging rates we can't believe that Bixby will not drain the battery

Okay, let's take inventory. Based on the "unofficial" rumours, the S8/8+ will
(a) Have smaller batteries, even though the screens will be bigger,
(b) Have the fingerprint sensor in one of the most uncomfortable to access places on the phone,
(c) 4 GB of RAM in the global versions, even though 6 GB is now the norm for flagships,
(d) A 12 MP main camera which no doubt, will be fantastic, but (assuming the aperture remains the same) won't have the advantage of bigger pixels like Pixel cameras and neither the bokeh effect, etc produced by dual camera setups,
(e) Will still have the "edge" gimmick which although aesthetically good looking, is of no actual use and keeps customers on the edge (pun intended) concerning the durability of the screen incase the phone is dropped,
(f) And of course the cherry on the top, a ~€950 price tag.
Now the decrease in battery capacities will probably be negated by the 10nm chipset and the camera will obviously be outstanding, perhaps even better than the Pixel, but I cannot find any excuses to justify all the other shortcomings (in my opinion) of these phones. Add to all that a €950 price tag, and I really don't see how these phones will actually be an upgrade over the note7/S7 series. Anyway, just my opinion, so don't get triggered pls.
