LG Optimus One will get Gingerbread this May (hopefully)

16 March, 2011
We already knew the Froyo-running LG Optimus One best-seller will be getting the Android Gingerbread update, but so far there was no telling when this might happen. Now, thanks to LG India we know that...

Jack Koh, 19 Mar 2011Good to know that LG still keep their promise...but May is ... moreCorrection. OS 3.0 is Honeycomb, which is exclusively for tablets (phones using 3.0? Yeah, right.) You must be talking about 2.3 or Gingerbread, but only two phones are on Gingerbread - Nexus One and Nexus S.

2.3 is confirmed. The problem here is when is the exact time.. But i guess the one who tweeted the message doesnt know anything about androids cause he said that the update will be available on the market. Duh? Anyways. Lg optimus one is a great phone. So if you have limited money but wanted to buy an android phone. This is the best choice

That's certainly a good news for Optimus One users. I've been a bit disappointed over HTC when they said they won't add Android 2.3 support for Wildfire. Why do i always get butt f**ked when i buy a mobile phone. When i had Samsung it was massive delayed updated for Bada, horrific non existing support, when i got HTC it is indeed an ok phone but i'm again getting raped by not getting latest update for it even though its well capable of running it. Grrrrrrr

i wonder why it stated that it can be upgrade to gingerbeard (android 2.3), but at the end it cant be upgrade, n my phone is just only Foyo (android 2.2.1) where i is only a slight 0.0.1 changes... =(
