But it will backfire to Samsung. S8 may be a flop.

Waiting means the price will be at the roof top in markets where Samsung has no control. For example, when the note 7 had a price tag of $850-950 abroad, in Kenya, it was launching at $1250; a difference of $400. Anyway, it never made it to the market.

So this is what will happen, it will only make it expensive for consumers in those marginalized markets to get the phone.

Fake publicity stunt by Samsung to rush users to buy S8.
Iam Samsung fan but this is very bad. Anyways they have priced it so high I don't think they will sell as much as they are expecting.
I would rather wait for Google Pixel Nokia flagship , Xiaomi Mi 6 etc.

Simon, 29 Mar 2017This is called creating demand through perspective of short... moreWhy create demand if the demand is already there? The shortage is real. No matter what this is the one and only go to smartphone in 2017. Because it is the one and only phone that have sd835. Demand is already there. Last time with S7 they had shortage of the edge version. There also shortage of different color Note7. The shortage is real enough that they couldnt deliver the preordered phone and end up with low sales with canceled preorder. This is not some stupid tactic to create demand. Samsung is the one in losing ends here.

Some of the so called leaks are manufactured by the manufacturers themselves. Like this one clearly seems to be a Samsung's effort to make people go grab the S8 as soon as it comes out.

...and all that for a second rate phone with mid range battery, mid range ram, same old resolution and 10% faster SoC ... the hype for this phone is overblown to unbelievable levels ... It's easily the least important upgrade in S series ... I mean literally no S phone before this had so few improvements over its predecessor ... if anything this is expected to have worse battery too.

For example s5 to s6 was a solid downgrade in battery and storage, but it was actually a jump in performance. This one is not a jump in anything. It's a slight upgrade in everything and a slight downgrade in battery... why are people -again- excited for this? I wonder.

If they keep it at $900 I doubt they will have a problem meeting demand.

Oh noes! There is going to be a shortage!!!111 I should order 10 and resell them at inflated prices. Said no one clever, ever.

Cheap marketing ploy. Just show it to us already so I can sell my firstborn to afford it...

will cop nokia 6. The chipset may be inferior, but it has quality and does not catch flames...

Thats ok Samsung this news won't get me to preorder one. I'll wait and see how your quality control is on these guys before throwing down another $800-$900 for one of your "flagships"
