Low ram, relatively low battery, 4k for no reason at all, gargantuan despite the small screen and relatively small battery. Engineering wise it's 2-3 years in the past (how did they manage to put so little hardware in so much space?)

design wise the s8 is impressive. but to all the people who think this is game changing don't forget that japanese phones did bezeless displays first and the xiomi mix is much more impressive than this.
Aside from that, the XZ premium is a superior phone in almost every way. Design wise its whether you prefer bezeless display or dual facing speakers.

There was no way to use Xperia ultra one handed even for the basest things (the thing would fall out of my hand). I use Mi mix (same size of display) one handed all the time.
yeah, making a device extremely big (as big bezels do) makes a device harder to use.

You just stated the height and not the width of the phone. I said the Galaxy S8 is a little bit smaller than the LG G6, which is true. Even though it have the same height, the Galaxy S8 is about 4 mm narrower. ( 68.1 mm vs 71.9 mm). And even though the difference is minimal, it does shows that the GS8 a little bit smaller than the LG G6.

We don't want an 18.5/9 bezelless display with rounded corners and mono speaker under the phone, which is crappy for photo and video watching... We want an bezelless 16/9 display with front stereo speakers, that's simply perfect!

Upgrades gimmicky things (who needs 4k on a phone) and keeps bad things (only 4GB of ram means bye bye ram caching, no flagship worthy; big bezels means gargantuan dimensions, means bad handling)

It's terrible to recommend either Sony or Samsung in this day and age. They both keep back technological development. These companies should follow blackberry and ericsson and old Nokia to obscurity.

Whom would have thunk? A device based in calculations actually becomes more useful when more calculations are done.
BTW AI on small devices is a gimmick *exactly because how incredibly weak they still are. Keep hardware development and you will NEVER see useful AI on phones.
Bit like Samsung. On one hand they only add 10% performance and keep the same ram, on the other they tout a revolutionary new AI. It won't work *because* they kept the phone the same internally (basically).
They use AI as a gimmick that's why it is a gimmick on S8. Real AI is very useful and will change the world, already does...
