17 March, 2011

Recently I was playing with Samsung Galaxy S II and LG Optimus 2X. I haven't seen so huge difference as presented on 3rd graph.
In my opinion Galaxy S II works smoother in terms of OS, but this could be due to newer OS.

This is one of the most pathetic benchmak test I have ever seen.
Comparing a phone which is at it's very early stage(HTC pyramid) to other phones which r either out or r at their final stage isn't correct at all !!!

Bailey, 17 Mar 2011Am i missing something because i must be. The point having ... moreWith dual core comes Full HD Recording, 3D Recording, solid gaming experience, 1080P HDMI output.... The list goes on and on... If a program takes 3 seconds to load and i now enjoy 1 second loading, i seriously dont mind this.
What does dual core phones got to do with 2.1, 2.2 or even 2.3? If you want to know what features were added, go read android release notes. 2.2 allowed the full usage of ram amongst other features compared to 2.1, and the list goes on and on. Of course, if you choose to turn a blind eye to these, you will be fine with 1.5.

Am i missing something because i must be. The point having all this power is, what? I had an Htc Desire and i could never argue with the speed of surfing the Internet or anything else so if someone could please tell me the point having all this power, oh yea to play games.

This is what really gets on my nerves with Android every 6 months you feel like you are supposed to get. Did Google really make use totally of 2.1 or 2.2 point me someone to an application that really make serious use of the hardware, i mean Google cant even get of its ass to get a proper music store and proper games and movies yet so why does everyone buy into the hype. yes the hype are people really going to pay up to £600 off contract to get a phone that has dual core that really dosent do anything better than there last phone. So GSM ran a few bench mark test and what in day to day use of your phone SO WHAT!!!

How about Google just make something that truly works and is seemless. that truly can provide for all round media and is priced well. I know people have to sell phones so any ad will do but really what at the moment is Dual core good for, what?

Benchmark results are meaningless, at least for me. Atrix may have the biggest numbers but watching reviews of it shows that the whole phone lags maybe 10 to 30% of the time.
