This might be the case in USA, but here in Brazil unlocked S7s are running Nougat. Do know exactly for how long, since my girfriend never updates here phone. Bumped into the update warning yesterday, when I took her fone to clean the huge mess of notifications that she neglects up there.

With using the lastest and correct lag killing apps + daily cache cleaning along with bi-monthly factory resets,
Lag in touch-Whiz as always been a jealous lie started by HTC fans!!!

There are updates and then there are Samsung updates. There's a huge difference, Samsung with no update is still better than another phones with latest updates.

Nougat is useless update. Got it on my T mobile S7 but i see anything new that samsung touchwiz has not provided before. Its boring update only good for those featureless stock android lovers .. lol !!!

Unlocked S7 are still stuck on marshmallow????? You got to be kidding me..... I just picked up a new M9 for giddgles for $190 and it's running 7.0. oh man Samsung has got a lot to learn about customer experience.
