Android Wear 2.0 rollout has been delayed because Google found a bug

30 March 2017
That explains why no smartwatches have been updated until today, even though the rollout should have started last month.

What I want to know is when are they going to fix the heavy drain on the battery. A watch only lasting 6 hours is a wast of time.

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2017No bug, work as intended. Android users normally are on ... moreYep... that's one of the strategy issue I mentioned on other post.
1- They sell their SW license to everyone without the right level of control on the final product, cost and its retail price.
2- End result is a huge diversity without market appeal, poor customer experience and no true value for the money.

How to regain market trust and attractability?
1- Marketing, focus on how to win the market on the most common issues the wear are not winning fans.
2- Show the product as a benefit.
3- Make bulk offers for premium users.
4- Invest on accredited talent and aim to release consistent updates.
5- Agree with some OEMs for premium and others for budget friendly.
6- Supervise and control till final product release.

OEMs won't run away, everybody saw what happen to Nokia, BB a few years ago, don't forget in the end it's all about reputation and your is going down day-by-day.

JG01, 31 Mar 2017LOL !! This seems to be the normal process with Google's so... more+1 Google/Alphabet - just look at chef Gordon recipe for success on each restaurant he managed to implement its modus operandi: reduce your menu (portfolio), focus on quality. I have a couple of friend junkies at your company, they were contract cause they were different.. old fashion professional attitude is not entering on most of your campus, recruit process is TERRIBLE, people with the best credentials in the world are closed the door for not being freaks or look like pokemons - other problem is that your junkies are really not productive and make too many mistakes (like this one delay the new deployment)! Company mission, direction it's lost, it needs to be reformed and cascaded from its very top - or Larry Page does something or Sundar Pichai will drawn the unsinkable Googletanic!

JG01, 31 Mar 2017LOL !! This seems to be the normal process with Google's so... moreso you'd rather a bug ridden OS that came out a month earlier than a good working OS that came out a bit later than intended? I'm 110% sure if apple found a bug, baring in mind we dont know what this bug is (could completely brick the device for all we know), they'd hold it back just to fix it. android doesn't necessarily promise a lot, they get their updates out quite quickly and then its up to the carriers and phone companies to get their update out to the phone, all apple have to do is push it out to a ton of phones but all of which are fairly similar and they only have like 10 lines to push them to (mobiles that is).
before anyone says it too I'm not defending google blah blah blah, theres no point to it so they clearly dont need the defense

mir, 31 Mar 2017I think the biggest bug is the very low sales. No bug, work as intended.

Android users normally are on a budget. And no one on a budget will care about accessories or add-ons.

Those are the same group who complain everything is expensive.

I have both apple watch and android watch with 1st wear version and It's basicly like day and night.
Apple knows what people wants from smartwatch and I really hope that Google's 2nd wear version will be at least similar. No wonder that Samsung went with tizen.
