Anyway, I comment on this thread way earlier

And why are you talking about "Beats Pro are one of the best sounding headphones for rap, metal and trance. For classical music Beats are not good, maybe Beats Mixr with less bass and plenty of mids and treble.", when the title clearly wrote "Monitor headphones"

Yea, just why ? I don't give a crap about your Beats is the best or what not, when the title wrote "Monitoring headphone", which you and all of us know, Beats is clearly not for monitoring. Plus, from your latest posts page, you just went in threads and dropping Beats is the best, sure? And then argued with anyone who disagree, what is the whole point? If you think you have the best headphone, why bother proving to others?

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2017It's you, who hadn't yet tried any other headphones. Do you... moreaudiophiles can't compare 2000/10.000/20.000 euro gear (open air planar headphones driven by tube hp 10 watts amplifiers and sacd and vinyl players as sources) with some 400 euro commercial headphones made for common people, listening some lousy mp3 songs at their mobile phones or laptops. it so stupid from an audiophile to compare these worlds. all that i say is beats PRO are excellent for rap, metal, trance, made very sturdy from aluminium. and for your information i had a lot of headphones around 300 euros in the last 20 years from sony, technics, pioneer, jvc, sennheiser, but beats pro i liked most.

[deleted post]How much is the Beats Pro?
I don't think I have to be rich to buy that POS. I use Sony MDR 1000x and still I never considered myself even close to be a Rich person.

Please, don't make me laugh, Marshall...

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2017Umm sound quality is subjective. Some want their music and ... moreWell Amoled vs LCD is not that easy. It certainly is not about "poping colours", because that is just a color balance "stuff".
Greener green, redder reds, bluer blues :) is not feature of the screen, it's profile that forces that screen to display colours that way. It is PR thing to have nice, bright and colorfull screen on phone - after all you are not doing your photoshop work there.

Sound quality is realy not that subjective, it can be measured. Often people just like bass heavy headphones no matter the cost of overall sound quality ... that i would describe as subjective preference not subjective quality.
Trust your own ears is great thing, but there certainly is room for advice from experienced listeners. Advice = not forcing you to buy brand X, only advising. I am well aware some of "us audiophiles" are "militant force to be reckoned with" ;)

someone might wanna double check if these headphones can in fact be used with the wire once they are dead, a certain company (beats) dont have that luxury (I know they actually need power to support all dat bass but they could of chucked in a micro usb to micro usb lead in so i could charge from phone)

Same set of arguments between AMOLED screen and TFT Lcd screen. Some lean towards poping colours.. some want accurate reproduction.

I totally agree, try all headphones, compare the prices, and make your selection. But NEVER dismiss Beats in any way, and flat out call it a ripoff. There bound to be people who love it for it is, not because of buying the "brand". And most of all, DO NOT BUY headphones because of audiophiles giving graphs on the reviews, trust your own EARS, not some people's paper specs.

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2017Beats have its cons. But overall its not as bad as audiophi... moreI think nobody would say you can't enjoy sound signature of any headphones, but the problem lies in one aspect of the headhones and that is price to quality ratio.
Imho there are just too many great alternatives to Beats and if you chose Beats over any great manufactures like Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic etc. you are not prioritizing sound quality or comfort, you are only picking them up for so called (imho irrelevant) "brand".

Sure you can buy Beats, noone gona stop you, just please do don't recommend them until you heard competition in the same price range.

But overall its not as bad as audiophiles critics gives it, sometimes the alt cans they say is "better" then Beats, they never consider fitting, some are horrible when wearing.. give terrible headaches.

And besides, most of us just want to enjoy the music the way we like. And hey, if it sound good to a person, then its worth a lot to that person.

[deleted post]Solo 2 and Solo 3 are not bad, they are actualy good, not great. Decent headphones there you have it.
But anything else Beat manufacture realy is overpriced garbage.

Similar goes for Marshall Major II they are realy great, Monitor on the other hand not so much.
Still i have kinda high hopes for this version of Monitor. There are not so many great bluetooth headphones and more freedom to chose your favorite pair of headphones? Count me in anytime.

Your fanboyism isn't welcome in audio world.

[deleted post]What if I say that beats are wayy overpriced for what they offer. In most cases hate is justified there are some special cases though. 199$ beats have much inferior audio quality compared to say a senheisser or Harman kardon ones. They are mostly best for bass heads and edgy teens who require to show off their riches
