I just cancelled my order on an S7.. Battery loses charge too fast after updates and friends been complaining of freezing, lagging etc. Getting a phone with 6gig of ram doesn't cost that much.. Look at the one plus 3T. Gonna get a pixel phone instead as my 2013 nexus 5 runs smoothly still so stock android is the way I'm continuing.

I am a big samsung fan but I will never spend that much money on a samsung phone... especially that samsung phones lose value so quick

My current phones are still working. I think I will buy S8+ on 03 Feb 2019 if it still available for sale. Then, maybe at prices between $400 to $500.

Indeed, the price of this phone is extremely high. And if it were made from "gold", it should not cost so much.
But I want today-cooling only other lies told by those from Samsung about this phone. Namely, said the phone will first screen the world without borders (top, bottom, side).
And I think you all saw, photos made "public". If these pictures represent reality, then continue to lie Samsung own customers. Failure Samsung S7 will be recognized in one way or another, by those from Samsung. The debut of the new smart phone S8, it is under the "sign" of not good, if confirmed their lies about the screen.

There's a good reason why Xiaomi's are so cheap. You pay for what you get. After 'Snapgate' I'll never buy a Xiaomi until they improve their build quality & include a bracing plate (whatever else they're neglecting to use to build their devices).
$1k is still too much for a phone though

Wait until months later, when you want to resell an Android phone, that why you feel the pain. As usual Apple product hold it resell value better than Android, be it flagship or not. That the fact. Good luck in updating to Android O or even security patch that never thinly arrive when iDevices get iOS 11 in September.

Until the UK (London) get mobile coverage in the subway I wouldn't call it modern though.
