And where tf in this amazing world did that conclusion of yours came from? Jeez my dear brother, I never said I'd pay arms and legs to Apple - in fact Apple is the greediest brand to ever occur. Just because I said this is overpriced doesn't make me an iSheep. I'll never become those people, even if Apple did something excellent. But I guess I just triggered someone there

The iPhone 7 plus 128gig sells for $1420 in Australia ($1070 US price) and that comes with no extras.
The Samsung comes with the dex $140
The Samsung has a lot more features than the iPhone so if I had to spend $1000 US I would definitely get the galaxy S8.

Batteries are getting smaller. SoC's are becoming cheaper to manufacture and so is the flash storage. Yet the prices are increasing massively? I guess I Won't be upgrading from my S7 Edge in a long time.

Do the math and tell me how many lifetime an average worker in the Samsung factory should spend building these phones to be able to buy the first one.

Seriously, this is all to do with the market that they are selling it. $1000 for a flagship device is not unheard of in South Korea, in fact it is quite the normal. Flag ships in South korea launches for $900~$1000. Stop reporting it like it is an outrageous price.

AnonD-39937, 04 Apr 2017OVER 1000$ for 6GB of RAM? Haha, I'm not that stupid. It is the only thing that matters for every day performance so I'd you are to give 900 forsecond rate performance (seriously oneplus would be faster than S8 due to the ample caching) you can well give 100 more to have top performance...

Well, it is quite pricey, & only China-exclusive, but let's say that AT LEAST it exists.

Woah. $1000. That's insane.
Btw, does anyone knows how much the regular Galaxy S8+ are priced at China? Is it $900 or something?
