Only 40? Well done, Sammy. In Android Google fixes much more vulnerabilities every month. And most Android devices never get those fixes, so...

Since it's built on Linux with .net capabilities it can seamlessly intergrate with Android and iOS and Windows(Mobile) to a certain extent which makes it more or less likely vulnerable to malware and phishing 😊

It doesn't surprise me as Software has always been samsung's weakness and software updates, their second weakness, and probably quality assurance should round up the top 3 weakness.

Before you post misinformation, take the time to do some research...like reading the original story: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/samsung-tizen-operating-system-bugs-vulnerabilities

"...would allow someone to remotely hack millions of newer Samsung smart TVs, smart watches, and mobile phones already on the market, as well as ones slated for future release, without needing physical access to them."

Yup not surprised one bit, Apple and Google are hacking Tizen on purpose to suppress Tizen as a competitor in the market. Now that's Real News!!!

Most TVs now have cameras with microphones.

Anonymous, 05 Apr 2017None of which use tizen.Sure, sammy's software engineers were just having a bad day when they coded Tizen. And when coding Touchwiz. And when coding whatever firmware ran on their smart fridge.

But don't worry, they'll pull themselves together for the smart tv firmware. Right?

"An ill-meaning person only needed to have access to the TV to install a hack through its USB port." Is quite dumb. It does not do justice as to actually just how easy it is.
