If this statement is true "Apple announced working on a new Mac Pro that will have upgradable GPU design" and apple indeed will start releasing machines were you can upgrade components and parts then its my dream come true. I love the Mac OS but hated the hardware becuase it is always 3 geneations obsolete when they release it on the market. I hated the apple hardware becuase you cannot upgrade it. It is not cheap and yet you cannot upgarde and customize the hardware.. That is why I never bought an apple desktop ever due to its upgrade limitations. BUT NOW YOU CAN UPGRADE COMPONENTS I WOULD LOVE THE MAC IF THIS IS TRUE . BUT UNTIL THEN WINDOWS IS STILL THE WISE INVESTMENT AS FAR AS DESKTOPS ARE CONCERNED. i HOPE SOME DAY MAC CAN RUN RYZEN PROCESSORS AND THE UP COMING AMD VEGA GPU.

No more confusion? First there was Titan X (the 'ultimate'), then came the 1080 for half price, so there was the Titan XP and then the 1080ti happened and so now there's Titan Xp?

That is if they got the budget. Specially now 4k or higher res. is starting to pick up.

No modern cpu over $150 throttles this card, especially since at 4k it's all GPU and very little CPU.

So no -really- you can built a PC where 2/3rds of the budget is the GFX card and still be balanced. The only problem is the card itself. It's *too* expensive. Better buy 1080 ti if you want gaming alone.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2017So you can afford a 900 GPU but not the equipment to utilize it ?No, that I can because an overclocked GTX 980 Ti + i7-7700K will set me back roughly $900, shipping fees included, which is still $200 less than the cost of the Titan Xp alone. Assuming the fact that all other equipment will remain the same, you can see why the Titan Xp is quite costly to fully utilize unless you have a big budget.

Oh nVidia, please at least have drivers support for last 2 iterations of OSx.

Hope to see drivers for El Cap & Yosemite.

                Thanks!

The problem with these kinds of GPUs is that to fully utilize them you need to have the right kind of complementary hardware, such as a 144hz display that can scale upto 4k, a powerful CPU that will not throttle the GPU etc etc. In other words, you'll have a big budget, which is a big problem for me *cries in Third world problems*.

So if you need the highest performing card now, you'd purchase this.

                    It certainly has it's place.

1080 Tis are a toy used by gamers. Both are bad solutions if you're to only use them for games.

You can probably 10 or more High Graphic Intensive Programs simultaneously with this monster. But it aint cheap.

That's... useless unless you are a professional and your company doesn't offer you already a device with a Quadro GPU.

This card is for people with too much money to burn and for silly "enthusiasts" who are living off trust funds. Anyone who needs to pull heavy work loads are better off with network rendering and for gamers the Pascal 10 series are more than sufficient for maxing any PC game. Might as well wait for Volta.

Great that they added macOS support. When I read this, I also had to think of the new Mac Pro coming in 2018.

Better buy the 1080Ti. It is much cheaper than this and powerful enough.
