Proper 4K+ for productivity-oriented VR (as opposed to games, where QHD seems to kind-of work), like emulating a "monitor" that can handle detailed typography or comfortably display a hundred lines of code. The Note series is, after all, about producing, not just consuming.

I hope this new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes in colors other than black, white, and gold. I think they should have colors coral blue, silver, and rose gold. I had my coral blue note 7 for 3 weeks when I was told to return my device asap

AnonD-660049, 08 Apr 2017Not really Aside from the bigger screen it's the flagship ... moreLet me guess. The paint job on the accent already peeled off isnt it. That is my only drawback of Note 4.

AnonD-387282, 07 Apr 2017Note 8 is just s8 with pen and higher price. LolNot really
Aside from the bigger screen it's the flagship of the Samsung Galaxy family. I've had every Galaxy S since the first one until I bought the note 4 2 years ago. I thought before getting it that it would be a bit big for my liking but after a week I realized I'd never go back to an S.

Size and the feel really makes a difference.

                        Just my opinion.

I really love the IR Blaster feature like in the Note 4 that I'm currently using. I use it all the time. TV, electric fans, whatever can be controlled with a remote.

Expandable memory should no longer be a question but rather the default.

Personally for me I don't like the Edge editions though they're great for those who prefer them. I'd really love to see a Note 8 version without the Edge.

Please get the word out to seriously consider making two editions of Note 8 just like the S8.

Maybe a projector capability. It's probably a little much but I'm trying to think of something that'll help set it apart from every other phone.

There hasn't been a game changer in a pretty long time.

                          Well that's it for now.

After trying out the dual camera on the 7+ and LG V20, it seems pretty much a gimmick at the moment. I thought Apple would implement it perfectly, it's still taking too long to focus that bokeh shot.

Sure they would like to save some new features for the S9.
However, with so many of their top competitors already sporting dual cameras, it would be strange if they would hold that feature off for another year.

I think the main concern regarding the Note 8 still remains; that is, whether the battery is removable and easily replaceable after it has run its course.
I currently have a Note 4 and I'm on my 3rd or 4th battery already.

AnonD-600084, 07 Apr 2017I dont understand, why very news, blog section, alot of people... moreDual camera allows you to have better FoV and bokeh affects. I've tried a dual camera device. (the HTC M8 BACK THEN!) and frankly it's awesome. I do agree that one sensor is enough. but what if you'd like to have an assistive camera? two sensors help you doing just that! when using a dual camera device. you can control the other camera to assist. (in huawei P9 for example.) while using the main RGB sensor. you can set the other camera to create softer shading and do amazing stuff. THAT'S WHY dual camera. (I myself am fine with just one sensor. two is just a bonus. and I am looking for raw power. I need a powerful device for emulating games. the more power I got. the better)
