Double tap to wake the screen is definitely much better now. It sometimes didn't wake at all on 7.1.1 after several taps.

I updated it to 7.1.2 about 5 minutes after reading this article. It is about 361 MB in size. Nothing noticeable yet. I usually don't like updating because it will kill my battery life or make it laggier but this is such an incremental upgrade, I probably don't see much defects with it. I needed to download it to squash some bugs and improve my Pixel's voice quality which sounds quite soft.
