Verizon's Pixels have their own Android 7.1.2 builds, rolling out right now

07 April 2017
Oddly enough this wasn't mentioned by Google when it announced the release of the newest Android version.

Double tap to wake the screen is definitely much better now. It sometimes didn't wake at all on 7.1.1 after several taps.

Another proof pixel isn't clean Android.

I updated it to 7.1.2 about 5 minutes after reading this article. It is about 361 MB in size. Nothing noticeable yet. I usually don't like updating because it will kill my battery life or make it laggier but this is such an incremental upgrade, I probably don't see much defects with it. I needed to download it to squash some bugs and improve my Pixel's voice quality which sounds quite soft.
