The word "hail" has nothing to do with Nazism.

The build quality justifies the price of its phones.

Yeah your right! there are many Chinese smarphones that are spec monsters but the build quality are not good.

I rather spend more bucks for the sake of excellent build quality.

The real Apple Computer died in 1985 after the Macintosh flopped and Apple ][ stayed relevant. The current Apple that started making iToys is made up mostly by ex-NeXT employees.

The Nokian spirit and philosophy is still there in HMD Global. HMD is as Nokian to me as the Nokia that Microsoft bought four years ago. Employees come and go. The core philosophies remain the same.

Sony of today is less like the old "Sony" from 20 years ago before both their original founders died. Apple of today is less like the Apple when Jobs was still alive. Sega of today is no longer the Sega of yesterday. Same with Panasonic.

People will buy these Nokia because of its name the same way people buy Apple products after SJ died. Companies change over time. But their name and core philosophy doesn't.

And HMD is a brand new finnish company , headquarters right next to Nokia ..
is made of "old Nokia Employees" , Nokia is the board member of HMD and has the right to deny any phone they don't like .. And HMD can use Nokia's R and D , technology and patents

and HMD is "exclusive" licencee .. So this is infact much of the old Nokia , Instead of having a separate department for Mobile division , they have set up a new different company to avoid the financial risks on main NOKIA ..

Even foxconn is using OLD Nokia factories to manufacture phones

All I want is a 5.9 inch phone or better and an 835 chipset, 4 gigabytes of ram or better, and vanilla Android. You charge me what you want. I don't care if it's Nokia or not.

The actually captured resolution of the 808 and 1020, is much much lower than the resolution of the sensor.
In todays more camera focused mobile market, it would be judged by its capabilities in terms of captured amount of details compared to other products on the market.
In todays mobile world, it would have soon been clear that the sensor doesn't really capture more details than other 20MP mobiles.

Plus that sensor was so big, that it required the phone to be pretty thick in order for the optics to handle the sensor.
And that makes any such solutions niche.
Nokia at this point is not ready for niche products that will not really sell.

Back in the 808 and 1020 days, it wasnt that much thicker compared to other high end mobiles.
Today when mobiles are mostly between 7-8mm in the premium segment there is hardly room for a phone that is twice that thickness (at least at the camera).

Considering the prices of the camera modules including optics, in mobiles, using multiple sensors for zoom makes more sense then trying to squeeze out zoom from resolution based zoom that the 808 and 1020 relied on.

American cutie, 10 Apr 2017Get ready Apple, Samsung and unknown Chinese brands. Yo... moreWOW, chill down, FANBOY...

ONLY FANBOYS will EVER buy the NEW Nokia smartphone with its INSANE OVERPRICING!

                                        Why?
Because MOST people nowadays have been "enlightened" by "unknown Chinese brands" that "a good smartphone DOES NOT HAVE to be EXPENSIVE".
Moreover, with the SoC wars going on, smartphone industry has been rapidly evolving, unlike 7 years ago, where SHITTY smartphones will sold like hotcakes as long as it have "Nokia" logo in it.

Don't believe my word? Remember when Nokia was "refurbishing" 6600 & sold it as "Music Edition" 5 years after its release, pricing it as expensive as BRAND NEW Symbian mid-range phones.

Nokia WAS a "King", okay, but there is NO king in history EVER regain his reign AFTER HIS DOWNFALL, that's a FACT.

BTW, stop saying "Hail", it'll only makes u look closer to CULT believer, like what Nazi believer did in the past!
