Going to miss Hugo Barra not being around for Xiaomi anymore. But Xiaomi should be fine as long as they keep offering solid products at great prices. I still trust Xiaomi more than I do with Meizu, OPPO, and ASUS.

Meizu's Chinese ROM is worse than MIUI or EMUI. OPPO is overpriced although surprisingly their subsidiary in OnePlus offers the best flagships under $500. While ASUS is utter crap!

Avoid ASUS forever. My ASUS Transformer Book T100 is garbage and dies while idle. I am stuck with it because I need Windows to add files to my phones. My ASUS Zenfone Go would die on standby within 16 hours. This is after it was rooted and used Greenify, Disable Services, and disabled Google Services.

Xiaomi is cheap but good quality. ASUS is cheap but with bad quality. I don't trust the Taiwanese very much. Even my HTC phones gave me issues. Pixel is made in Taiwan but who knows what issues will pop up after a year or so.

                  Anonymous, 10 Apr 2017No... S7 : pixel size 1.40 Pixel : pixel size 1.55 S7... moreThats wat i am saying.
U increase the resolution and the pixel size goes down.
30 mp resolution is useless in smartphones.

ssbatman21, 10 Apr 2017Doesnt take a genius to knw that a resolution that high on ... moreNo...

                    S7 : pixel size 1.40
                    Pixel : pixel size 1.55
S7 is better at night because its f1.7.
It depends on the size and resolution too.

                    Imx214 : 13mp 1.12 micrometer ( moto z)

                    Imx220: 20.7 mp 1.2 micrometer ( sony z3)

                    Imx234: 16mp 1.12 micrometer (lg g4)

                    Imx260: 12.2 mp 1.4 micrometer (s7)

                    Imx300: 25mp 1.08 micrometer (z5, xz)

                    Imx333: 12.2mp 1.4micrometer ( s8)

                    Imx378: 12.2 mp 1.55 micrometer ( pixel xl)

Mobilemaster, 10 Apr 2017Then tell me which company do have a 30 MP camera? We know ... moreDoesnt take a genius to knw that a resolution that high on a smartphone sensor wud result in pathetic pixel size and dat wud lead to bad, very bad low light and indoor shots.
Plus neither sony nor omnivision had a 30 mp sensor announced in last 6 months so its impossible that mi6 will hav a 30 mp sensor.

Qwerty2017, 10 Apr 2017WOW, the ONLY Xiaomi flagship which failed JerryRig "absurd... moreI can agree with most of this. And argue that not all phones fall in these categories. For example LG g6, thin bezels but built pretty well (no bending). And the xiaomi redmi 3/4a are pretty compact, but have decent battery sizes. But overall I agree, usually phones have to sacritics one thing or two in order to improve in certain aspects. I am personally looking forward to Oneplus new flagship later this year.

AnonD-460767, 10 Apr 2017Xiaomi offers products at an affordable price but most of ... moreWOW, the ONLY Xiaomi flagship which failed JerryRig "absurd" tests was Mi5, but U DARE to say "most of the flagship products". Really, WOW...

Did u graduated from Senior High school? Do u know the difference between ONLY, SOME, & MOST?

People WANTS a flagship phone with TINY bezels, SLIM, LIGHTWEIGHT, COMPACT, and so on.
BUT, when those request fulfilled, they complained about HOW FRAGILE the phones become.

Have they EVER learn about "equivalent exchange"?

Ceramic HARDNESS is top notch, in exchange it becomes easily chipped or cracked when dropped.
Tiny bezels increases the aesthetic of the phone, but in exchange it becomes too weak therefore easy to bend. What's more, tiny bezels makes it harder to grip the phone.

Slimness increases the aesthetic of the phone, but in exchange the material used to cover the phones becomes thinner, making the phone prone to bend or pressure.

Compactness makes the phone becomes easy to handle & placed in ur pocket, but in exchange u can't get bigger battery capacity, because there are NO SPACE to add another mAH of the battery in the phone, since it was compact & slim, moreover adding more battery means the phone will get heavier.

In short, RIPE WHAT U SOW! Don't ask the impossible without understanding the "equivalent exchange" & human limit of knowledge!

No he couldn't...he have to make/create another test (drop test) which never been done by other device that survive his bend test just to proof his point....

My Mi 3 from nearly 3 years ago still runs very smooth on Marshmallow / MIUI 8. It's only drawbacks is Mi Suite isn't compatible to my MacBook, battery is degraded, and internal storage. But it surprisingly runs faster and smoother than my Note 3 and S7e!

I just recharged and turned on my Mi 3 for the first time in a month just yesterday and I tend to forget how smooth it is. MIUI isn't that bad. In fact, smooth and great with updates. Even the HTC One M7 feels laggy after four years.

MIUI is better optimized than Samsung's skin. I would get another Xiaomi if it didn't need to have Mi PC Suite to handle media and such. Which is also why I am reluctant with Huawei. While my G5 and S7e can be read with Android File Transfer on my MB while my Mi 3 and Pixel can't.
