Have also had the Redmi 3S and the Redmi Note 3 - again no problems with software, no lagging, nothing strange about it. I definitely recommend buying any Xiaomi phone. High quality, low price.

Wow, impressive pricing for such a phone! With the rumored specifications, it's definitely going to be worth it, however - people who will try to import it, will have to pay much more than the original price, and in some countries, the phone might be even more expensive.

I wont recommed going for mi phones , though the hardware is really good , miui is quite buggy even with latest updates and you may face app crashing and and stuttering at times.
I am currently using xiaomi mi 5 , 32gb + 3gb ram variant on 8.2.2 global stable rom

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2017Dude. Really? I talk from my personal experience. Xiaomi's ... moreWhat a lier! I can't say anything. Sad. what a Troll. U know every week millions of people are in queue online to get their hands on xiaomi phones here in India, and this following is the result of immense customer satisfaction. I have Mi5 from 1 year, mi4 from more than 2 years, and many in my friend circle, cousins have xiaomi phones mi4i, redmi 2, 3s and what not. And already my 3 friends have told me to register redmi 4a for themselves, sister, younger bro etc. which sold 250k units in 4 min last Saturday. And I wasn't able to get one.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2017From my experience : up to 200$ = always Xiaomi (or Huawei)... moreI disagree. I have imported a number of Xiaomi phones to Canada - the Mi 5, Redmi Note 3 and the 5 inch Redmi 3S. All have been perfect quality and excellent value for money along with better battery life than most other phones. Because the quality is so good (and the price is not risking a lot of money) I don't worry about warranties or service. Xiaomi is my favourite OEM at the moment.

Just a reminder, you will have to wait for 2-3 months for the stable rom to come from Xioami.Which is kinda a major disappointment you will only be able to use the chinese rom for few months or not buy it.Same with the Mi5s.But by the time it comes to your country the stable rom will be available so it's worth the price.

tonez210, 11 Apr 2017I have to agree with you , miui is just not yet mature , i'... moreWell you have EDL mode & a QC developer mode on QC SoC equipped model's, update app also supports side load mode from SD card which for instance is not supported on Samsung. One thing you are right is that the Xiaomi should have gone with more traditional recovery instead.

Plus, on this prices in china, you need to add up to 25- 40% of additional charges to have it in rest of the world, and than it is just too expensive for what it offers.

If you want to try something different, Chinese... Go for Axton, One+...the ones is officially available on your market, and the one that provides some help in case of trouble.
And just like with Apple, Samsung and other brands devices... Xiaomi comes with problems.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2017Don't get fool by the specs. Even tho Xiaomi can give you a... moreTo be honest with you the Xiaomi model I am using now it's much better than Huawei or Samsung ones I used in the past. What you get from Xiaomi in the 150~250(more)$ price range & you certainly won't get it from Samsung or similar brands is long lasting software support. MiUI is what it is, some hate it & some love it. Samsung is OK but just if you buy their flagship & only flagship. I repaired a lot of phone's (used to do it professionally) & I can say how Xiaomi is actually good enough quality regarding components & good placement & clipping so very repairable certainly much more & easier than iPhone, HTC or Samsung with most components abrasive glued. I am also Dripper wizard (& Xda developer) and I don't see more complains for Xiaomi than other big OEM's so stick your little story where sun doesn't shine.

Damn Xiaomi rocking that cheap price with that Snapdragon 835. But does the durability suck? Well we should be anticipated for Zack (JerryRigEverthing) to put this phone on the Hall Of Shame if it really is a fail like the Xiaomi MI 5

Xiaomi is really doing a very good job

And i have to use maui meta to rewrite back the imei. There are a lot of hard brick xiaomi for no reason . Its not broken , just no respon , and when they hard brick. People tend to think that its broken . How i wish xiaomi just let us use button combo to enter recovery just like other manufacturer . Easier to factory reset the phone if something happen . But they dont ... My first and last xiaomi phone is redmi note 3 . No more xiaomi phone just because of the miui .
