TBH, what is the point of multi core CPUs other then marketing.
They are actually pretty bad cores with low performance.
I'd bet any old low-mid range PC dual-core will beat those quad cores.
Most people seem to believe Hz determine the CPUs power, WRONG!
I hope atleast one future mobile CPU brand doesn't sell out like that, and actually makes a decent dual-core comparable to laptop ones.

HTC just turned a phone into a netbook!
Technology will never be the same!
I thought that HTC will be a bit out of the competition this year, with the Incredible S and all, which isn't really impressive...
But WOW!
Great phone!
just a bit disappointed of the 2MP 3D cam.
Oh well...
Still, best phone ever!

3D should stay in the cinemas and never on a mobile phone, how dumb is 3D on a mobile

I like Htc i really do but for some reason i never like the US versions of their phones.
Yes the spec are really nice and lovely what everyone has been moaning about and screaming that Htc do for ages. I really still at this moment of time cant see a need for a Dual Core phone there is no software of apps at the moment that is really pushing the use of it.
But i suppose its nice so that the geeks and nerds can go on and on about it in these forums because thats the only people that care.
Whilst they slag of phone makers that still bring out single core chips. yea because that 1 second of faster of opening your email is so needed because in every day use who cares? oh and what were people saying before Htc brought this out last week and the weeks before that Htc were going to fail because they didnt have a little dual core phone i mean the whole company was just going to fail because of this.

Dual core phones matter because they are the evolution of mobile computing. This is an important phone for HTC and it will serve them well if they can get it to market before the Galaxy SII. A year from now we'll see quad core processing in our smartphones which will really usher in the next era of personal computing.
But 3D? Meh...
Plus we need this phone because it's probably the only dual core phone that will be officially supported by Cyanogenmod.

I loved HTC before but now they are just boring me as hell, here is a new nokia! the only important thing for htc now is to have as much as possible phones on the shelve, now that they are barely any different in looks and specs that absolutely doesn't matter.

It seems like android phones are getting bigger and bigger.... It doesn't matter if the phone has great performance, great dual-core CPUs, if it's as big as a brick.

Do we really need 3D phones?
All I want is good browser, great reception, brilliant display, decent camera, no software bugs or lags, light compact and long lasting battery.
Just make those criteria and everyone will buy it!

I guess one can only hope in vein for the day when manufacturers (and too many pundits) will start describing this tech properly - which is not "3D", it's stereoscopic, a very precise term (vs. more properly 3D displays: volumetric or holographic ones - first type having inherent practical limitations due to their nature, and _good_ display of the second type requiring pixels smaller than the wavelength of light + processing & memory we're nowhere near yet... but once there, a screen will feel basically like a window or mirror)
