12 April 2017
A new feature called “scroll anchoring” ensures the page stays put, even while the rest of the page is loading around it.

This is really funny. How long do you think this will last> Maybe a few days at most.
As mentioned below all those nasty pop ups that make your page jump all over the place are ads.
Google lives or dies by ad revenue.
What do you think will happen when advertisers complain to Google when the page no longer jumps to their ad and you and I don't see their ad?

      It's not fixed, it's only a workaround...

Chrome has replaced Firefox on my PC, but it's terrible on android. No access to 80% of the internet streams that STILL use flash player. No quit button, turns it into resource eater. No option to sync with a different gmail account, an unjustified limitation. Google is turning into Apple, why all those restrictions and limitations? And the data saving option it has saves only 25% of what opera does. Just horrible...

It is usually the ads that are the reason for these page jumps, so the solution is to use a browser with adblocker!

              omg finally!

Yes it is annoying but more annoying is the absence of adblock which kills battery life and consumes a lot of data

You can do this on older versions too, on flags just set the scroll anchoring to enable from default, and you're good to go
