If there is SD card slot as well, I would consider for a 5.5" variation (Mi6 Plus?).

Levy, 15 Apr 2017Those numbers have little to no relevance in day to day use... moreIt's not a fraction of a second, you're a liar. It's quite faster than that ( see the first round), also it's ages faster in video encoding (again 1st round) , but most importantly it *never* reload apps.

In most androids you have to wait ages for half the apps to reload ("but I've already loaded that app" ... "it doesn't matter, you'll wait again") and that makes a *huge* difference in day to day experience, just watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX4JucpvbJM

Fandroid are so "fun", living in such a denial must be amusing. *Showing* to them how slow their device is and still think that their phone was worth it.

Androids *are* worth it if you modify them, but most don't do that even. *That* is why iphones sell so much. People believe their eyes and not random online trolls.

Im an android user and very happy with customization in android but really confuse when android user doubt at pricing of iphone...
why always talk about overpriced when in android devices have a huge range of price?
and why people buy pricey galaxy or xperia while oneplus, oppo or xiaomi have a better thing in some areas?
and you will doubt it in other things, quality, technology blablabla and forget the overpricing...

Andro... moreThose numbers have little to no relevance in day to day use; opening apps a fraction of a second faster, if that, on an iPhone is not worth paying the ridiculously exaggerated prices of it AND getting technology Android phones used 2-3 years ago. Those kind of tests give iphone fanboys something they can hang on to justify why they settled for yesterday's technology at exorbitant prices but everyone else knows that they are being taken for a ride by Apple.

Come on dude lets be honest here. Everyone that is honest here knows apple is just overprices junk and android phones that cost less can perform as good as or better than iphones. Apple is just overpriced nothing else. Apple may win in benchmarks but in daiky usage its the same except u get better camera display and battery life from Android phones. Thats the bitter truth

Qwerty2017, 14 Apr 2017LOL, the PATHETIC one is YOUR KNOWLEDGE, DUDE... SD835 K... moreWho cares about power consumption. The difference between 14nm and 10nm is minimal. I still get more battery life because I have the bigger battery (3600 mah vs 3000 mah of S8). So big deal, my chip is 20% less efficient than the the new chip which totals to 6% less battery.

Big deal! I mean let's forget that I have 20% more mah, therefore *better* battery than you, while also being almost equally as fast, while having a usable fingertip sensor, while having bought it for half price than your phone. Let's forget all those and appreciate the minimal power improvements of SD835, that nobody really cares about.

The REAL problem comes after that, IF Pinecone V970 proven to be worthy of becoming alternative flagship SoC, the "next" one have to be better than its predecessor, or else, everyone will remember it as a "one hit wonder" success, similar to Mediatek's MT6752 which once very popular among Android geeks as GREAT mid-range SoC in 2014, not SD615 which not only have overheating problem, but also underperforming GPU.

BTW, if Xiaomi is truly live up to its nickname, "Chinese Apple", there is possibility they won't sell their home-made SoC to other manufacturers, similar to Huawei, as there is possibility other manufacturers will reverse-engineering their design to made a "better" SoC.
Moreover, when they sell their SoC to other manufacturers, they have to be able to mass-produced it in large volume, something which is hard to do even by Samsung.

Both manufacturers, TSMC and Samsung are still unable to reach the demand. So, if PineconeV970 is built in 10nm as the rumors, it will have the same problem as sd835.

Seeing the Snapdragon 835 shortage & such low prices of Mi6, is it possible that Mi may use their "in-house developed" chipset instead of SD835?
