Anonymous, 25 Mar 2011No one from se said that you will get 2.2 update. Its just ... moreI agree with you. It was well written black on white on their website. At the time it was "no Froyo for X10 user" as per SE officials.

I have waiting for this notice for a long time, I have been a fan of SE since 2001 when I bought my first T105...then I have been a proud owner of t230,w550,k810,xperia x10i...the last phone was great, but they have lost my faith already. What kind of developers or reasearch teams initially finds out that xperia x10 is no good for gingerbread, where cyanogen(free developers) has already 2.3 running on this device...
Now they have understood with the kind of user opinion we are spreading, how they have fooled the x10 users...now they are going to release gingerbread update for the device eh?
I would say I am happy, but I already had a word with cyanogen and xda people...and they will support this device free of cost...I wont spend my money with such an irritiating company ever again...:)

Lets hope the new update for the x10 will bring 16m color, flash support for browser, Flash for the camera will have auto mode, pause while recording video, and louder in call quality and music playback.

This is fantastic. I think the consumer backlash they have received has kind of given them a bit of a wake up call. Getting Froyo would've made a lot of X10 owners happy. Gingerbread will restore our faith in them. Go Sony Ericsson =)

Yeah right...X10 is Sony Ericsson's consumer, and X8 and X10mini/pro is just another company's consumer, so they don't feasible enough to get another upgrade...what a discrimination...
