Fancy Three(3) not ordering them for its UK customers...but wait one moment....Three(3) doesn't operate on the 2G network here in the UK. Smart thinking those folks at Three(3)!!!

Carol, 18 Apr 2017So, you think i am nervous or something?:)). this is good, ... moreThere you go again. Ranting unrelated things. You are so clueless. You still avoiding the main point. You have a brain but not using it properly. Maybe english is not the official language of europe but the least you could do is excel at it. No need to show off you can speak 3 different language if you are not even fluent in ONE like english. That old folk is living in a different country. He is a traveller. I told him to get a new phone but he insist on classic 2g phone. I dont feel like talking to you anymore either but I am more persistent in educating you. Worst, someone as clueless and oblivious like you really in need of good teaching. I dont want you to spread your wrong ideas even more to people around you. Your opinion never matter since the beginning. You better not show up ever again on this site.

I speak and write 3 languages, how many can you speak? Really wanna go their? My English is good enough for me to stand my point;).
How is this old folk of yours using a 3310? You were all over screaming how in your country, their is no more 2g network. That being said, that phone does not even have 2g. Is one of the first gsm devices, having no internet connection, was not even a java phone for God sake.
With this being said, i really feel no need to talk to you anymore, i really do not like people that talk not to shut up, worse, that have no idea what they talk about. Just pouring thoughts of "cluelessness" to make it look like they actually know something. Your opinion does not matter anymore;). Have a nice day;)

Btw, may I just say, for an european your english is all over the place. You might want to fix that if you really want to get your point across. Nokia is a durable phone - or so they said. I doubt this feature phone break in just 3 years. One old folk I know still using his classic 3310 for decade. The battery is removable, buy a new one if it wrecked. I agree if you lost it but it is a cheap phone that you will definitely buy again if you really like it. But it still fail. Why? Because its in 2G. I find it funny how you avoid my other facts like it wont work on 2G unless the frequencies is 900MHz and 1800MHz standards and also the fact that the preorder is global-as in many countries want it. No one knows if it was going to be 2G only during time of preorder. Nokia said they havent confirmed about the network support so, people foolishly registered for preorder thinking there might be a slight chance Nokia announcing it would actually support 3G; but in the end it dont.

Joselius, 18 Apr 2017Smartphone in extinction? That is an absurd claim. If you b... moreYou do not use your brain to much, now aren't you? First i taught we just don't get each other, now i know, you have no idea what you are talking about while not really understanding what i am saying.
"Smartphone in extinction? " your claim of what i said.

"This device it is not taught for 2025, till then their is a great probability that smartphones are in extinction mode. " what i actually said. What this means? Means their are 7 years till 2025 and in seven years smartphones can go extinction mode, the road of disappearance;).. I haven't seen any innovation for more then 3 years. Specs are not innovation! Oem's are already thinking what could be the next "big" thing to come cause well, smartphones are at their Pic. From now on it can only go down. Their is no other road for them. Straight or down, 7 years might be straight but after. it is highly possible they road is coming to an end. Future phones? Was i talking about changing a device cause of specs? Nope, devices get lost, brake, and most definitely their battery goes wrecked. So, after 3 years of usage, and with phones always coming on the market, 3 years is enough for any user to use a device as cheap as this one. At traveling i give you a point. Still, i do not think their will be people that buy this device in Europe, and use only this device. Maybe, i do not know. Apparently you do not make a difference between material things and a practically invisible connection. I do not own this connection, and i pretty much said if their is a time to change it, i will do it, till then, i won't cause is more stable and reliable, and does not eat battery as much as the other two. Also, what i.said has nothing to do with me, but has to do you your claim: In one year 2g networks are going down bla bla bla. I proved you are wrong. And that is all i wanted, I do not see this being me holding on something as lame as a network;). Material things, however, are devices, cars, money, shirts, shoes, whatever. Can you make the difference? By your comment now, i am kind of sure you hold on your things with the idea they will always be here to make you happy;). All i have to say about your last attempt to say something interesting is: Nokia fooled nobody. Even GSMarena stated from the beginning in the phone specs, clear as the mountain water: this phone has gsm network and not more. ;). So, if they know it, am pretty sure, this world Nokia "fooled" knows it too;).

Carol, 18 Apr 2017As far as i can see, we pretty much do not get each other, ... moreSmartphone in extinction? That is an absurd claim. If you buy a Nokia feature phone of course you would use it for a very long time passed 2020. Feature phone is not like smartphone. Their specs stay the same for many many years even decades. It would only make sense if it was a 3G device. I am more than sure European like to travel to the US and many parts of Asia. Try to bring that Nokia 3310 to those countries and it wont work.

You make no sense when you said, " You still make no sense, you probably do not know how to let go, or you attach your self to much on material things, hoping they wont ever go,". I am the one that letting go 2G and you the one that wanted it so much. Arent you the one so attached to that old network and hoping it wont ever go? See what you wrote there? That is what you are.

Yes, I know 2G not dying soon. It is dying slowly. There is phase for it to be shut down slowly. It wont happened overnight but it will eventually gone. Nokia do not expect it to sell like hotcakes? You kidding me? They already got millions of preorder. And that was before Nokia confirmed it to have 3G or not. Btw, Nokia do expect carrier to keep their 2G. They already working to get a frequencies of it just for their featurephone. Unfortunately the frequencies for 3310 wont be widespread because not many carriers support the 900MHz and 1800MHz standards.

Just so you know, the preorder is global. Everyone around the world had thought of buying it. Nokia fooled them thinking it would work on 3G. The backlash is real. Customers from a fully 3G/4G country like Japan, Korea, Singapore are one of those affected and several other countries like Canada, US, Australia, Newzealand, Thailand, Taiwan, Ecuador & Macau.

Currently, there are two main 2G GSM service providers in the US, which are AT&T and T-Mobile. Unfortunately, neither of them support 3310-friendly frequencies; in fact, both of them are taking the necessary steps to ensure that the 2G network is not a part of their services any longer. Are you not seeing the big picture here? Even if there is 2G it does not promised to be 3310-friendly frequencies.

Joselius, 18 Apr 2017First of all the title of this article obviously said UK no... moreAs far as i can see, we pretty much do not get each other, or you just do not know what you say. I do not care about Vodafone, how am i defending them? It was your example, not mine. Uk is in Europe, so we are talking about the continent, because it is here where they want to bring the device first. This device it is not taught for 2025, till then their is a great probability that smartphones are in extinction mode. Why whould anyone think of their device, they will be used forever. And buying this device in 2017, why would you think, you will still be using it pass 2020? So why looking at a 2017 small device like it is the future that holds? You still make no sense, you probably do not know how to let go, or you attach your self to much on material things, hoping they wont ever go, well am pretty sure that after 2 years you forget about them being made;). Anyway, this is a device for nokia lovers and collectors and will work in 2g network, and 2g network is not dying soon, so this device WILL work. As far as i can see, this device stands for marking the return of Nokia. So, they do not expect to sell it like hotcakes nor do they expect for all the carriers to keep their 2g specially for it. I like 2g cause is more stable then all of them. When their comes the time when 2g does go out, then i will jump on the next stable network their is. 3g improved, but still has problems that i do not like. One of them is draining out the batteries from times to times and dropping calls. And well, do not like that.

Carol, 17 Apr 2017Man, you really are something:))). Well, this Nokia comment... moreFirst of all the title of this article obviously said UK not Europe. Second of all, why are you defending Vodafone so much? Why you defend 2G network like your life depends on it? Ok, I admit only Vodafone Australia is doing it this year. Since we are talking about Nokia 3310, it wont just be using Vodafone alone in Europe if it want to come to Europe. See how business work. Single carrier alone not going to work even with that other one, EE, as the article mentioned. People wants option. There are many carrier too like you said, Orange, O2, Tmobile. 2G may not leave Europe now but the process is already starting.

The disappearance of 2G is visible in Europe. But it seems unlikely that any GSM systems will be closed before 2020, with Swisscom and T-Mobile Netherlands scheduling shut downs by the end of that year. So, what Im telling you is that launching a 2G phone like Nokia 3310(2017) is a useless effort. Swisscom and Tmobile user using Nokia 3310 will have to switch carrier by force just to stay in 2G. Many years after that I'm more than sure more carrier will shutdown their 2G network. Defending 2G on your part is like defending the existent of Floppy disk while the rest of the world keep moving on with new technology.

In us, their are carriers that will keep 2g till 2020, or maybe longer. Depending on customer demanding. Till now, i never heard one word from any German carrier saying their will be no more 2g network. Nope, i do not use a futurephone, i actually use a phablet. So, i still do not see your struggle to prove something as useless as a ping-pong ball in a horsemanship tournament

Can you see that, or not? So, that is why, i was talking about EUROPE. I also do not care that you cannot use it. get a life, for God sake. And Vodafone? really? They shut down only In Australia. You have no idea how business work, aren't you? You think that is Vodafone, they do it all over the world, the same. Well, new news for you, they do not! Every part of the world has it's own way of business. And, as i was saying, for the moment, 2g does not live Europe. Third, Vodafone are not the greatest in Europe. Their is Orange, O2, T-mobile. Third: This phone wants to come to Europe. So, as far as i can see, you forgot your problem.
