Now my Pixel is facing intermittent microphone issues.
Why can't Google make an update that don't kill the hardware? *hint look at Apple*

The similar phenomena you also see on other OS's. For one aPple is using this method, and then release a reasonable quick update to fix what they broke.... It is more understandable when bugs like this happen with an OS used on hardware from another company (e.g. Windows on non-MS PCs)
But it is unacceptable when a company don't at the very least tests their software thoroughly on their own hardware. (And I do not care if the sinner is Google, aPple or MS)

They're treating the premium Nexus (pixel) users same as typical Nexus users. Awesome software was the selling point of this highly priced phone. But they're doing that thing again.

Had a few issues last week, with the camera app crashing the phone. Had to re set it several times.
Installed the new update last night, so far so good with the sensor. However my XL has crashed twice already, needing a reset to resolve it.

I still believe KitKat is the most stable with good battery/performance among android version, just sad it is no longer supported.

I'm on a 5X. Since the update to 7.1.2 I have RAM issues and fingerprint reader issues as well. The fingerprint reader lost it's accuracy and the apps in memory seem to be kept for an even shorter period of time.

This is exactly why I don't mess with android no more. LG bootloop updates, Samsung S6 Edge+ miserable battery life update, LG G4 Bluetooth killer update, these are all from my personal experience. I'm sure there are a lot more cases.

Updates have never done anything worthwhile except break features and ruin battery endurance.

As someone who never goes for "New software available? Update, quick!', I feel that my approach is vindicated
Not sure why people run after software updates, especially these days when phone software (at least android) is so feature packed already.
'Wait for feedback' has always worked better for me. Am still running the last stable version of Marshmallow, even though 7.1.1 has been available for 2 months. Am happy with my phone, and intend to update, maybe, sometime in May
