Analyst: Galaxy Note8 will have dual cameras, one wide-angle + one telephoto

This will be Samsung's first phone with dual cameras.

Fingerprint on the back is almost same mistake as no sd slot and small memory. Maybe worse. Its just not coming together with the way that I use a phone. Same launching camera, just how you should hold a phone to not get finger in the lens and to have a landscape orientation? Point of this gen is not to copy S8, but to outshine that burning shame of n7. I would be wary of next iphone as it's most possible candidate to be rival also in note category. And again, just putting same camera show using telelens won't make it desirable more, its in iphones almost an year, and this one may be again something new. I really wish nokia and microsoft will also join this battle, this category is not about limits(like money) because best will be bought.

        Android O is not even out. So how it can have A version that is non existent? Max it can have 7.1.2
        7nm Chipset: not possible eirher. We just started with 10nm chips
        3D Touch: gotta be kidding me. THIS IS CLEARLY Apple's Region. They can mimic it andname it the S Touch. Or something like that though.
        5,000 mAh battery: would make the phone Super heavy. And we REALLY don't want another Bomb-Phone Debacle. I myself think that 3,400 will be enough.
        20mp Dual Camera Super large: bruh. Thisis a PHONE. You'd like it to be bulky as the K-zoom???? Imagine two sensors like that in a phone!
        We need to remember it's a phone that we carry. Really!
        Although the IR blaster would be a blessed feature.

            Huawei implements it by having a regular camera coupled with black&white sensor while lg uses wide angle.
            The only manufacturer that curremtly has "telephoto" optical zoom lens is apple.
            but feel free to correct me.

                    The 7mm processor I doubt we will see this year as they have only just started production of 10mm.

                    A 5000mah battery is a bit to optimistic as well and probably would make the phone either to large or heavy and we don't want another Note 7 debacle!

                    I'm getting a bit tired of all AR/VR business on mobiles, It's a gimmick that is best suited for game consoles in your home, Even I feel 4K is over the top! I would rather QHD with high ppi and save the battery for performance.

                    I have to ask myself and others why do we need phones with DSLR high spec cameras??? A good camera will be fine, 12 megapixel with excellent image reproduction is sufficient.

                    You have to remember that trying to cram everything into a phone, Needs space and ultimately costs battery life.

                    The Note series is the Powerhouse flagship Galaxy phone and it should have the Best Processor and Ram also the SPen should be updated. IR blaster would be a nice return!

                      No one needs a telephoto lens. That second camera need to provide more functionality like true optical zoom more like the Asus Phone Zoom

                        With the "S" Series you will always be compared to Apple.

                        So bottom line is the Note should be your Flagship Series and not the Galaxy S

                        To make it your Flagship it must have better specks than the S series also it comes out 6 months after the s series and like with everything in the tech industry 6 months is long enough to disrupt and make something better

                                      Anonymous, 19 Apr 2017I'd much rather have one larger camera sensor+1 I'd agree on a 24mp 1/1.5" - 1/1.7" with an f/1.8 arpeture.
                                      6mp at around 50mm zoom, and 3mp at 75mm zoom would be sufficient, while a large sensor would do wonders in low light in comparison to the current 1/2.6"

                                        Samsung should also put the fingerprint scanner below the cameras this time. Considering Samsung lacks raise to wake or double tap to wake after they eliminated the physical home button, Samsung should place it better this time.

                                        It's Samsung copying LG and Apple again but at least copying the right features. They should copy HTC next with dual front speakers.
