Wow. The writer clearly is very comfortable with his job that he could say anything he wants to say even if it involves people struggling to go and get jobs through any and all means that they can (incl. LinkedIn). Bless you.

LinkedIn is a resourceful networking site and why on earth is being compared to Facebook? Nobody ever visits LinkedIn for cat videos or dog images.

Linkedin is very useful here in Sweden. Many recruiters use it to search for possible candidates and my CV was printed from there in 50% of the interviews I have been to.

Why so much hate towards LinkedIn? The piece hardly talked about anything other than just bashing it right-left-right.

My software development employer asked for my
LinkedIn profile, which I did not have. So i had to reschedule the interview.
I created a profile, got a much better offer and now earn more than the previous employer.
Moral of the story; sometimes you've got to be forced to achieve.
