Every modern OS always fills as much RAM as it can with copies of files it just read from permanent storage, this because RAM is so much faster than those memories, why waste it doing nothing when you could boost second reads significantly.

AnonD-562549, 26 Apr 2017You don't need a SD Card slot.Clearly you are not a tech person. There are so so many things you cand do with the SD card. I'll just name a few so yoi get the point:
- I don't need cables or pc to flash custom roms
- I download a lot of torrents straight on the SD card
- If I brake my phone beyond repair point, I just get the SD out and all my data is safe
- I have more than 5GB of apks in my kits folder - No Internet connection required
- I always have 2-3 seasons of my favorite TV shows on the card
- Beside the installed apks and the download folder, the internal memory of my phone is always free
Just because you don't need the SD card, it doesn't mean others don't. I could also ask you why buy the one plus and not an iPhone if you're not gonna root your phone.
Also, I found the 3T in my country for 553 EURO! That is a LOT for a China phone! For that cash I could buy a Sony or a Sammy.

Ever try to run an application on your PC while the CPU utilization is maxed out?
The OP3T is a great phone, but its performance has nothing to do with its 6GB or RAM, and everything to do with its lean software and 1080P display.
