We are not in USA so we don't get all the good discounts the Americans get and is Worry to many of us. We will only have to wait for some months to get real reduction sales so we can by some. Potential best Phone 2017.

Max, 27 Apr 2017Dude chill, just wait till Note 8 and the price will go down. It's not about the price, it's about a header (title) of the news message. And since currently I'm on the S7 edge, I don't really see a point in upgrading to the S8.

Also note this deal is being offered by Verizon and not Samsung.

Am I the only one who hates titles "Price is under $700", and then the actual price is $699,99? Yeah, I get it, technically 699,99 is under 700, but you know what, $100 is also under $700, and the difference between $100 and $699,99 is quite huge. On the other hand, the difference between $699,99 and $700 is minuscule, so I don't see the problem of writing in the title that the S8 will be sold for $700 (unless you're on a payroll by Samsung, that is).

The only time when it makes sense to buy a new galaxy s is

                        1. directly after release, because you pay the full price but you got the newest and greatest phone
                        2. about 6 months after release when the price dramatically dropped

                          Excellent.

it's not fair!! 700 dollars in US to Samsung: what is that difference between US people and other people in other countries!? I guess Verizon bought those GS8 about $600 ~ $650. If real cost is for GS8 $700 so give to other arena same price... Shame!

i don't know how much of this is true but apparently samsung forbids its online retailers to discount the newly released flaghips for about a month or so..i had this problem with the s7 edge, but i got it at around 70$ less from a local retailer
