cheaper than an iPhone with far higher specs and far more features
i wonder how many years it'll be before ANY iPhone has specs anywhere NEAR this advanced

Got one. Just in time. They sold about 900 units in under 2 hours which isn't a bad sign for a struggling smartphone division.
Hopefully they get some decent global carrier support. Won't sell enough without it.

I actually thought this phone was well priced regarding the touch keyboard and all the different things it brings to the table - not the standard boring dreary slab evryone is carrying. I recently upgraded but wish i waited a few months now so couldve had this beauty.

If only there was such outrage when Samsung released the S8 etc at those ridiculous prices. People need to calm down, this is a standard price for flagships and that's what this is. Prices will fall in a month or two so its not a big deal. That's when reviews will be out as well.
Its exclusive and slick. Its the only handset with a physical hardware keyboard that is currently supported and on Android. Price would fall if Nokia, Samsung or Apple/HTC made such phones but they don't. Its not for everyone but I had the pleasure of using a Q10 and hate my iPhone keyboards now.

R.I.P. Blackberry, 28 Apr 2017Some people never learn..After the failure of the Blackberr... moreOppo is not a phone, it is a crapp that calls it's self some kind of a phone. They actually need to make calls to be able to be called phones. Second. Oppo, really? Have a little respect for company's that actually did something for mobile computing and stop comparing them with that boat made company worthy of not more then 20 cent, Syrian cent

Blackberry's pricing department should be fired...
This should be priced between 300-350$ at max but no this company wants to sell may be 100 device globally...

Some people never learn..After the failure of the Blackberry Priv, they set up the new one,hahaha...They still think, that they are a DOMINANT player still in the smartphone market.TIME TO WAKE UP,BLACKBERRY!No one needs your overpriced phones with middle category specs, when there are high end phones with much cheaper price!!Like Oneplus 3T with Snapdragon 821 for example!Time to close your businness, before you got fully humiliated!
