I also want you to know that, we (S8 owners/curved screen users) don't read or write anything like a rolled papers... You better experience that thing you talked about. When people brag about how new tech is better (S8) vs old tech (iPhone), I always say this:

I'd rather have old but perfected and smooth tech, than new but buggy and faulty innovations.

Galaxy S8 was supposed to be the phone that tempted me to jump in the Android bandwagon, being an iPhone user since 2010. I have nothing against Samsung, I think the S8 is really pretty. But then I'm facing the fact that Samsung is filled with useless bloatware eating up space and I can't remove them. My friend says there's two of everything which I find rather funny and unnecessary. Also, Android updates come very late! Takes months, sometimes years! And the undeniable lag of all Android phones after about 3 months or so (I know because I'm using Android phones as secondary phones). I remember I bought iPhone 6 back in 2014 and my friends bought at the same time whatever Android flagship there was at the time. My iPhone 6 still works amazingly fast up to this day, while my friends have changed about 3 phones already because of issues and lags.

But then I guess it all boils down to personal experiences and choices. And personally, I am happy with iOS. The software is more important to me than looks. It's a simple and very strong ecosystem. My Android experience is always bad.

Anonymous, 01 May 2017I am not iPhone user but have to say that iPhone is much be... moreI'm still using an iPhone 6s plus and I agree with iPhone being much better when we talked about performance and audio things. I did not said that Samsung is much better, it is all about the user's preference, but I'm admit that I'm much prefered with Samsung though. You said that you're an iPhone user of course you will say that iPhone is much better one thing that you are already delusional with your thought of view. Samsung give you a bunch of units, they are not forcing you with its flagship alone so if you like Samsung phone but don't like the curved sides thing then you can choose with their other bunch stuffs available out there. You will never understand why there are still a millions of folks buying a curved phone even though beeing weird or stupid so on and so ford like you said... We are tire of using the same and same again and we want to feel deferent to the rest of the world, this is just a one thing of example but I could go on and on... And your argument that iPhone being secure while Android stilling your data etc etc... You just been scammed by Apple with this lies... Did you ever research about that before posting it here? Did you ever know what knox code security is installed with this? Tell me again why the president of the united states is much preferred to use Samsung phones than with iPhones if that is the case?

For a phone, rather than extra features, we need good quality on audio/phone calls, reliable OS and safe apps that not stealing something from users at background.

BTW, I think curved screen is the stupidest idea. Have you ever seen anyone who rolls paper back for reading/writing?

Sorry Apple fanboy, but I used iPhone before and now I'm switching to Galaxy A5 (2017) with surprisingly giving more than SE (and of course 7 lol). iOS ecosystem is now at their crappiest because Android keep improving

                      http://www.forbes.com/sites/ianmorris/2017/04/21/samsung-galaxy-s8-is-monstrously-expensive-to-produce/#1990bfdc572a

See how cheap to build that iphones and they sells it like a diamond, they simply selling their logo to your face and nothing morethan that! And lastly you said that the iPhone 7 is much more features, better specs and performance? Well I agree with the performance though but other than that really? Could iPhone do wireless charging? can I insert my 3.5mm directly into a new iPhone? Iris scanner sucks huh? ok does iPhone has a better Iris scanner? I don't think so... can I connect two earpods through bluetooth or handsfree and connect something to it at a time? I could go on and on... Sorry but you sound so delusional to me.

AnonD-574432, 30 Apr 2017Samsung phones have latest technologies. Its very advance c... moreMaybe 4 years ago. Noawadays' Samsung tries to outdo Apple in using the oldest tech possible whilst at the same time achieving high sales.

Sadly for them it won't owk because unlike Apple they created their reputation *through* specs and as it stands there is not one spec that S8 is top apart from the screen (by comparison Note 4 was top in *everything*)

I mean mid range ram, mid range battery (just 5h screen on time), non top ppi , top SoC but everyone uses it, only second best BtS ratio (Mi Mix comes first), non top camera ... I mean literally ... not one thing apart from Screen colours. In everything else they range from 2nd best to downright midrange.

By comparison Note 4 had best accessories (spen, gear VR), best SoC by far (exynos 5433), highest res (one of the first QHD phones), best battery (biggest replaceable battery ever), best colours, most Ram (very few had 3Gigs back then, one of the first with fingerprint sensor ... Samsung used to load her phones. Those days are long dead...

[deleted post]This prove Samsung fanbase is the biggest among android. Apple user have their own dedicated website to worship iphone alone so they wont want to hang out here for no reason with a site full of android phone review. If you fit in, you stay. If you dont fit in, get out. As simple as that. Gsmarena dont pay users to stay here anyway.

IMO people who do want that quality go for headphones anyway..isnt it better to just have a very loud single speaker?

Well, basically, the article said it all, so I simply agree. And regarding the Note 8, obviously and absolutely looking forward for it. And, hopefully Samsung with the Note 8 will correct the lacks&flaws of the S8, first of all: the horrible fingerprint placement, then the trendy (useful as well) dual camera setup, third, the long long awaited dual stereo speakers, 6GB RAM, holistically finalize Bixby, or better just Google now/assistant, instead. And bigger battery (although it is the most unlikely one, due to what previously happened). And maybe little more upgrades, such as: front flash & 4K rec. (I will keep repeating/mentioning these upgrades, because I really believe that they are a must for Samsung to include/upgrade them in the upcoming Note 8, at least, they already skipped them from the S8. To be different from the S8 (apart the pen), and to infact be even better, after all, that what deserves the Samsung next gen flagship and obviously that is what all the customers/fans deserves too!).
