That's the number #1 reason why I don't like Android. It takes months, sometimes years, to update, and sometimes never update at all.

      Android updates. .. ios updates... Hell, almost all OS updates and even app updates are useless, unless u are updating from Windows 8 to 10. Biggest mistake of one's life regarding computers... Updating your computer from xp to Vista, or 7 to 8, or kitkat to lollipop on a midrange phone (kitkat was best for modest (or not so top notch) hardware) and kitkat was the last OS which let 3rd party apps access for writing or deleting to SD card. You'll find fever ppl saying "hey! I updated and this and this is cool" than ppl saying
      "I updated UC browser and it's sh=t "
      " I updated whatsapp and it is sh=t "
      " I updated Pinterest and it's sh=t "
      " I updated to W8 and it is sh=t "
      " I I updated from kitkat to lollipop /marshmallow to nougat and it makes my phone slow /decreased the battery life. "
      Then they say it's about privacy. Stop smoking. Google provides data to CIA, and if they don't, small app developers do. They already "take our permission" to end the argument. We are all tracked. then they make us download useless updates from our precious data.... Then make us buy newer products coz after repeated updates.. Ur phone gonna be slow. It's nothing but a thing around which so hyped.

            By the tune Google gets to android Z only new flagships will be running it. Everything else will be 2 years behind.
