The Motorola Milestone 2 also released in mid-Feb where I live, and at a pricetag of US$525, it brought down the price of Desize Z for a drop of near US$40.

However, at the same time, the almighty brand decided to charge over US$690 for its E7. Is that suicide?

Anonymous, 05 Apr 2011Motorola quality has improved as of late this is evident in... moreOh, don't forget the almighty brand has been very innovative recently....such as the fixed focus camera, where almost nobody else makes it.

And this company offers micro-USB "port" bus does not charge on some of its phones, also being unique, if not pioneer, in the industry.

Someone else also mentioned data loss is another unique feature on N8/C7 where users are expected to backup all data frequently.

I have been using my Motorola Milestone for over 13 months now and all data has been retained from day 1. No backup needed.

AnonD-977, 05 Apr 2011Agree N8 & C7 have many problems, although things are a... morelatest unique feature of N8/C7 over competitors....total shutup with all data loss!

I doubt anyone nowadays buy a phone, store all the data on it, just to expect the phone fails, and spending the time to backup all data is part of the "job".

AnonD-235, 05 Apr 2011If this is true. This would "time to get agressive&quo... morethis company used to release 40 phones in a month! Now the article said it would make 40 phones in the rest of the year, inclusive of all variations from network to carrier specific.

So it may release another C6-0x for GSM, C60y running on TD-SCDMA, C60c for CDMA, and then a phone called "cheapo" for certain carrier in US. (Americans like "names" instead of numbers)

So that would make 12 phones for the rest of the year, and if the 5800 saga continues, we may see "minor" variations on top of the variations mentioned above like 5530/5230 etc....

Anonymous, 05 Apr 2011Hey nokia before you announced 70phones, pleased fix ... moreNokia should do a recall of those N8 and C7 with defective purple screens. It's a pain in the ass to get your defective device replaced with another defective device. That's what's going on with defective N8s.

Nokia need to speed more time per device and not just put out phone after phone. There can be so many different types of phones that developing countries need...

How about focusing on getting the N8 better? How about Meego and the N900?

At least in india I can say dat d following is true
Samsung fone : life .5-1 year sometimes internet not working etc, cheap quality, more feature in less price, never know when can they go dead, huge no. of models
Motorola: pathetic camera blue green tint in pics, fps less than they claim
                          Sony: no durability, overprices
Nokia is still the best at least in durability, has all the features that they claim, people with hard earn money go for nokia only
HTC: no service centers, less durability, overpriced

Oh, I can't keep up anymore, Nokia. As soon as I'm interested in one, another comes out and rumors of two more surface. At least Apple allows folks to be satisfied with their iPhone purchase for a while. Nokia never realizes the full sales potential of any of its higher-end units.

If this is true. This would "time to get agressive". Nokia has lost alot of ground. To introduce 40 phones is to market themselves again, this time stuffing the market with their phone.

Let's hope there will be major improvement in their phone and not the same old, same old design, plastic quality, usual features, symbian platform again.

Consumers are not asking for innovative products but innovative products which consumers wants. Innovative features but consumers doesn't want is a failure. Listen to customers, ask them what they want. Not this is what U 'customers' should want and need.

All the best to you Nokia. As for high end smartphone, try to gain back consumer confidence. Do a great job this time. :)

More Touch and Type devices please!

My Motorola defy using a leaked us tmobile froyo(not final release and not maximized performance) update runs 13 hours with heavy usage before dropping to 20% battery. That's web surfing for extended periods, text messaging an average of 400 text a day, email, ebay app, facebook, and sometimes gps. All this while being more powerful than the n8, higher resolution, and a "resource hog" os since you guys keep saying android is inefficient. I post to this website on my phone too by the way.
