Bixby Voice goes live in South Korea

02 May 2017
The AI only speaks one language at the moment, but early tests seem to reveal much of the navigation potential, promised by Samsung.

I didn't like the idea much. If I have to press the Bixby button everytime I have to summon Bixby, then why not using my hand to push the touch screen instead? Bixby seemed to be a few seconds late at opening it anyway. Bixby should have been summoned by voice call like Siri or Google assistant. Even the year old Samsung Assistant could hear me saying Hi Galaxy and response accordingly. If I need to call Bixby by pressing the button everytime, then what is the use of it while I'm driving a car, for example? Not good at all. Samsung should come up with better idea if they don't want to lose the game.
Ciao...

I can't wait to see Bixby in action, the difference between Samsung software and competition is like night and day.

an in depth integration is lacking on both siri as well as google ai for voice commands, siri cannot even understand something like asking it to lock the screen, something your should be able to do with your voice if they do want you to use it as such...hopefully samsung does a better job..
