When people are trying to compare Android and iPhone with same amount of ram pls first use a QHd display and the amount of resources android have than talk about speed...I know iPhone is better optimized everyone knows that but the amount resource android has and still pure android is fast like iPhone, there is no freaking way one will buy an iPhone when u can do so much with an pure android phone.
Such as multi window anyone?
True multitask...
So much customization etc etc
Moreover, Android is open source,its free so it should not be better than something you are paying for(ios) even though it is...
Think what you want it doesn't matter because in the end apple will always be the last one and will always copy Android (sometimes i think)...

Stondec100, 04 May 2017I guess Android needs more ram than iOS. I've used iPhones ... moreKinda surprise Note 7 lag a lot when it hardly ever survived more than a few months out in the wild. My Note 5 is a little laggy at times but i have like 300 apps installed and tones of services running in the background with 2gb space left. With what it is doing, i can't complain too much why it has occasional lag.

I guess Android needs more ram than iOS. I've used iPhones before and they've always been buttery smooth, however Android phones are my daily driver and the only one that hasn't lagged yet is the Galaxy S8. All others have lagged a lot - Note 7 Note 5 Note 4, Note 3, Note 2, galaxy S3, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, HTC One Asus transformer, Galaxy Note 10.1 Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Motorola zoom.

My rule is iphone's ram x3
So 2GB of iphone's ram gives the multitasking of 6GB on android. 4GB would give 12GB worth of multitasking, an over kill.
I mean look at android they are still releasing 1.3GB phones (by iphone's standards). Yes they are pathetic and reload background apps a lot but people are still buying them. What's the need for IOS to go to 4GB/12GB? It's as if the competition tries to kill itself anyway.
