Well Samsung Asia's CEO already confirmed that the phone will be released in my country (Singapore) on April, so even if it's late April, it's not actually pushed back:)

Maybe it will be a better phone but I am not gonna get in to that I think they are aimed for different kind of people.

Not everyone likes aplle. I don't like aplle company and products just for limitations. When apple removes that much of limitations, maybe then I will think about apple,but not for now, despite how cheap it costs. Currently I'm using gresso grand monaco and gresso luxor and I'm from Europe.

Samsung has a history of showing off new models and then... not making them commercially available until much much later. SGS2 is a great phone. However, long delays might kill it. Newer and better phones are coming from other companies. Hardware-wise, Samsung actually has only one (big though) advantage - superAMOLED+ screens. Everything else more or less is on the par with HTC, Motorola and LG. The competitors, on the other hand, seem to be able to deliver products faster than Sammy does.

I'm loving my Galaxy S too much. I can't wait for the Galaxy S 2. With that nice 4.2 inch display....OMG. I would never buy an iPhone.

Here at o2 customer serives we have it marked as a target date for 02/05/2011 but is still been tested.

Iphone 5 aint comin in june, its due around sep..check ur calender mate. apple has delayed iphone 5 release bacuase they want to bring it with ios 5 and also they want to make money off iphone 4 white.

The price is too near the Iphone 5 price. I would rather wait for the Iphone 5 than go for this. If they priced this much lower, around the starting price of the original Galaxy S last year, then maybe I will be more inclined to get this.

it doesnt matter when samsung galaxy2 will be released at the global market,as long as it worth to wait and i dont mind to wait the best phone of my personal opinion with fully patient and a buckets of love.so if you love the girl you can wait her in the weekend by some promise even if she delay her appearance you still stand to wait for her because you really love her.it is the power of love.so its doesnt matter coz i believe samsung will release it no matter how when and where.just wait and see the saga2

I think Samsung is losing customers by making it late. If that device come in May then i think lot of peoples will go for Iphone5 including me which going to be realease in june with almost same price, specs and better build quality.

I work for a phone retailer in the uk and we have been told to expect the handset to be instore available for sale on the 27th of april. Not a garuntee but this is the phone i'm upgrading to from my iphone 3gs really cant wait much longer been due an upgrade for a couple of months now :D

This is an old article -- it was posted today(in April) and it states with April a few weeks(or days) away we will see. - Its seems GSMArena is on the same time schedule as Samsung

Phones are still being released on schedule, and all this nonesense of the SGSII release date started before the Tsunami. I think it was bad planning on Samsungs part with the two chips problem.
