the Asus Zenfone 2 series did really well in india....it had good specs to price ratio.....and instead of capitalising on that, they fucked it up with the ridiculous pricing strategy of the zenfone 3 series....diggin their own grave

I hate to see Asus fail with the price it is offered for. Xiaomi Redmi 4A come with the same species and priced at INR 5999 as against 8499. It's gonna fail with that price.

I just purchased my Zenfone Max for the same price, and my phone offers 2K more mAh battery with a laser-assisted AF rear camera. But that was almost last year when I got my phone, and now it only costs about $115 online

As a price, okay it is super affordable. But it will be compared with Xiaomi, etc, devices, such as the Redmi Note 4 and other popular phones (and most specially in India then).
