While we are at it .. HTC was the first Android phone, the first 4G-capable phone ...see ? Stuff like this is completely irrelevant.

On the long term , Sony will never be more stable than a HTC flagship phone, never, maybe it comes close, but that's all.
You are comparing the U Ultra with the S8 . I will remind you that this is about HTC 11, HTC's main flagship.
Samsung software may have improved, it will never come close to what HTC or Sony are offering.
Split screen was not first on Samsung ( talking about better research , right ? )
And if the fact that Samsung improved its software and it supposedly invented split screen are the only things you have to say about them... well , can you please answer my initial questions ?

Most probably 360 degree audio recording. I doubt it the video. Bullshit reintroducing panorama shot with 360 gimmicks? I dont think so.

Possible with wide enough angle lenses on front and back. Basically what gear 360 does but in a lower scale.

I reckon HTC 11 use the hole entire camera sensor to take a photos or videos so it may be "360" but not "360" or I'm completely wronge about this

1.-2 cameras recording something like samsung gear 360, 2.-3cameras recording 360° panorama video, 3.-1 camera recording video with orientation as for VR gear with the rest being black. Or something more crazy as its hard to imagine whats not real-life recording and what is 360 - pano, sphere or maybe 360 of the object - in other words 3D or cropped video from lens that follow object around you using back and front camera. Looking forward to real life recording, feels like every phone will have not so real one anymore, better be prepared.

They (Samsung) don't cover the best audio quality, but what about the U Ultra?
They dropped their only main selling point. Give me a U Ultra with a headphone jack that matches the LG V20 / Axon 7 / XZ Premium's DAC quality.
Samsung's software has improved so much for years. Not perfect, but soon to destroy HTC's software. Then again, what Android feature that came from HTC? Split screen was from Samsung, and even Android O would have Sony's audio features instead of LG or ZTE or HTC's.
I'd give it to you for better software longevity, but let me introduce you to someone named "Sony" and ask which one has the most stable software on Android platform. Also ask who gave Google; 30 feature enhancements and 250 bug fixes for Android. Doing better research can help improve your idea instead of being clueless here and trying hard to make an argument.
