Maybe it's not the U but a new Re camera that they are hinting at. One that records in 360 degrees that can then be viewed on the HTC Vive.

two wide-angle cameras, one on the front and one on the back? Oh no, it won't work like that because the front camera will have to protrude in order to have a 180° image, and I don't feel like it will be very esthetic to have a protruding selfie camera
