It's simple, android like every other OS in the planet is sensitive to resources and resources management. Galaxy S phones are middling in one (Chinese phones have more hardware typically) and pretty bad to the second (most of everyone does a better job at resource management).
Seeing S8 losing to certain 2016 phones is expected. Samsung went cheap in the hardware department and the losses are being transferred to the customer.
Now why would anyone support such a company is beyond me. They cut features and add price its iteration...

Samsung is the Apple of Android and the only brand that always par to them. Of course they are not that popular as Apple but they are not so far to it. So if you suggest that you better get an other option apart from them you may as well feel like convincing a spoiled brat kid to choose to go to school over playground.

6GB phones are obviously faster than 4gb phones (less reloads), yet Antutu purports them to be the same, that's because it doesn't check for ram retention.
Importance of forms of performance on android:
Ram retention > IO speeds > multi core performance > single core performance > GPU
How Antutu perceives it
GPU > Single Core > Multi core > IO
...and it doesn't check ram management/amount at all.
In short Antutu gets it exactly wrong. Resources are important to android in the exact opposite order than what Antutu purports, so Antutu score is arbitrary and bad.

Why does foreign countries get the higher specs? while the U.S. gets the lower specs, the s8 and s8+ are already having issues, they should allow us to have an option, when purchasing. The U.S. offers 64 gigabytes of storage and 4 gigabytes of ram, and not many color options like foreign countries have. I want the s8+ coral blue 128gigabyes of storage with 6 gigabytes of ram, but had to settle for the AT&T version with lower specs in arctic silver, in order to have HD Voice. The international versions do not have it. The problems in the U.S. are red tint on the screen, bluetooth and wireless intermittent disconnecting or not charging, and now losing audio while playing music, or videos. Not sure if its a hardware or software issue.
