Anonymous, 14 May 2017Read them again. Like I said Moto was bought for its pate... moreWhat grates me is that Samsung basically forced Google to sell Motorola, or else they would strike on their own with Tizen. Google should have taken Samsung's dare, but they didn't, and Google sold Moto (minus the patents) to the first person available.
Now Google did a 180 and is once again competing in hardware with the Pixel. I weep wondering what would a Pixel by Motorola be like. Meanwhile, Lenovo keeps pushing their way of doing things while culling whatever remained of Moto's workforce.

Anonymous, 13 May 2017Praising motorala.. Robust build, Quick updates.. Ok..... moreLenovo is doing the same mistake with moto it did with themselves. Multiple devices on many price points, same pathway Samsung follows. Lenovo should listen to its customers, a 4.7inch,5.5 inch flagship grade phone, another 5.5 and 5inch midrange and premium midrange. 3/4 phones with superfast updates are enough for a company's portfolio, look at oneplus. Now Lenovo is just populating lineup, confusing customers, and fast updates are not happening. This Chinese manufactures never listens to its customers

Eric Wang, 14 May 2017I like those specs, now let's hope this doesn't cost more t... moreThat's not going to happen with the specs rumored. I think we can safely expect a price tag starting at around $500. Honestly, I'd consider $500 a bargain if they manage to avoid the dual-curve display/dual-camera gimmicks, and instead pack in a quality display with minimal bezels and a proven big-pixel camera sensor.

They have patents comparable to Nokia Alcatel and Ericson. Apple wanted to ban Android back in the day. None other than Motorola was better shield for Google. They couldn't care less about phones. Still they made a good phone that was surprising. Also Moto under Google had one good thing. Updates comparable to Nexus. They were sold due to this. No they aren't best in the world but they were better under Google than Lenovo. It's not like a 3-400 bn dollar company couldn't sustain 100 -200 million loss a year for 2-3 years. Their CEO gets more salary than this now

Ever since each generation was one step down ... So eventually we got to the bottom that is X4... RIP Motorola you used to be a great company.

Lenovo bought moto because they had no Mobile market in US.

Anonymous, 13 May 2017Praising motorala.. Robust build, Quick updates.. Ok..... moreIf Lenovo would have been so successful it would have not been going around the world buying other brands. Now it's sucking on to the Moto's brand value and attaching its name to Moto "Lenovo Moto". The scale of the company is not the parameters for quality comparison. Anywhere in this world for any product quality stuff in not made in mass scale for everyone. If pixel is not able to sell that much so would you call it a failed product??

Anonymous, 13 May 2017Praising motorala.. Robust build, Quick updates.. Ok..... moreCoz they were better under Google. Google didn't want them. They wanted patents of motor. They weren't in hardware business back then and any piece of classic hardware. Aka a Moto x with better cameras would have had angered other oems. Google couldn't do that back then. Now they are in dominant position with all other alternatives failing for other oems. So they can make pixels now

Robust build, Quick updates..
Ok..
Then how that company's market share fell to less than 1% and became bankrupted with all these fan base?? Ended up to sold to a software company..
They used the brand to promote their software and services... Whatever didn't became a success..
Again sold to a hardware gaint..
.
So Motorola itself is a flop. Lenovo is no1 pc manufacturer, top tablet maket, was no3 smartphone maker (lost the battle after buying moto). Lenovo is a successful brand. Which have lot of subsidiaries.
Moto is the failed brand.
